Media is the medium of communication. It refers to the use of information and access to the information tools, channels, vectors, intermediaries or technical means. The media plays a very important role in life, it is also have positive and negative impacts on contemporary society.
The influence of the media society is permeated in every aspect. From the point of view of personal life, the media manner to enable people to accept the trends and changes from the outside world in time, to facilitate people contact with others to pass information, and provide a culture and entertainment for the daily life. From a broader point of view, to a certain extent the media through the dissemination of information to change the direction of social events development. It guide the mainstream of interest and the trend of the times, and created a culture.
Similarly, different media formats are also affecting other formats. Internet, television, mobile phone, newspapers and magazines are the common forms of the media which play a role in each other. From the above can be divided into electronic media and paper media, Low threshold, large information capacity, convenient and efficient, information dissemination interactive and other advantages bring great negative impact on paper media. In a recent study, the researcher found that residents of the three cities in the United States, turned the attention of the news to the local TV station, instead of the newspaper. The analysis is based on the premise that there is a vital link between cosmetic surgery and digital technology in both these countries. We argue that the celebrity culture spawned by entertainment media has facilitated the normalisation of cosmetic surgery to the extent that it is commonly viewed, quite unproblematically, as a form of human physiological enhancement. The article examines the publicity surrounding cosmetic surgery (comprising media reports, advertisements and commentaries) to see how it is presented in the Korean media and on the internet. These findings are then considered in relation to the promotion of Korean cosmetic surgery in China. In the 2000s, Korean cosmetic surgery rose as a by-product of the massive cultural phenomenon known as Hallyu, or the ‘Korean wave’. Hallyu represents Korea’s media success: its entertainment products have generated enormous revenues since the first exports of Korean popular culture in the 1990s. In 2009, Hallyu revenues were estimated to have reached US$6 billion (cited in Oh, 2010).
