Macbeth and Atticus both from different novels but have their similarities and differences. They both face situations in there lives and through out the novel both Macbeth and Atticus develop an attitude. So Macbeth from the novel ‘’ Macbeth ‘’ and Atticus from the novel ‘’ To Kill a Mockingbird ‘’ are both protagonist of those novel and they faced situations and to compare them how each one of these protagonist valued the common good and each one faced it in a different way. Macbeth faced it with individual interest through violence and Atticus faced it with putting his own interests as risk in order to defend his beliefs about the common good. The choices they made affects their initial attitudes. In the novel ‘’ Macbeth ‘’ Macbeth was changed slowly through out the novel at first he was cruel and cold-hearted he had a goal to become king but later when the novel progressed the choices he made changed his of thinking and attitude he felt guilt in him for doing all the wrong he has done and asked forgiveness so that cruel Macbeth was changed to a guilt Macbeth. In the novel ‘’ To Kill a Mockingbird ‘’ Atticus was a person with strong sense of justice and strong value of the common good. Through out the novel Atticus attitude did not change but his attitude changed other characters point of view on different races such as Scout his daughter he taught her to respect other races. As the novel progressed for ‘’ To Kill a Mockingbird ‘’ Atticus’s attitude changes other people of the novel’s attitude. So both characters each initial attitude had their own role to play like in Macbeth attitude changed his own attitude through out the novel but on the other hand Atticus changed not his attitude but another character’s attitude.
