Odyssey starts with a man named odysseus who went to the trojan war and it took 20 years to come home . In those 20 years he went to different islands, Encountered many different monsters and then finally made it home to his wife penelope who didn't know it was him till later on. She didn't know it was him because the suitors ( guys well men that tried to act and say they were odysseus so they could become king).

Everett is having trouble adjusting to his hard-labor sentence in Mississippi. He finds his way off the chain gang with Delmar and Pete. Then the three guys set out to be free and the promise of a fortune in buried treasure. while still in their shackles, then they run which takes them on a crazy journey of exciting experiences.

Penelope is longing and wanting her husband home while Penny is glad that her husband is gone . She even told her children that Everett had gotten hit by a train. Odysseus and Everett are very different to. Odyssey is a very good leader he takes great care of his men and protects them while Everett is a crappy leader, who doesn't care for his men and doesn't protect them. Pete and Eurylochus are very different to. Pete is the second in command and so it Eurylochus but Pete actually did and wanted to do the right things while Eurylochus told the men to eat the cows after they were told not to he didn't care. ...Odysseus and Everett are very akin in character. They can both be described as proud, quick-witted leaders who are on a quest. One instance of Odysseus’ pride is in “The Cyclops” section of The Odyssey when Odysseus yells, “‘Cyclops, if ever mortal man inquire how you were put to shame and blinded, tell him Odysseus, raider of cities, took your eye: Laertes’ son, whose home’s on Ithaca’” (874, 457-460)! while he and his men are leaving from the Cyclops’ cave.
