The last pair of characters that have similarities between them are Myrtle and Sanaubar. Myrtle Wilson is described as a “woman in the middle thirties and faintly stout, but she carried her flesh sensuously as some women can.” (Fitzgerald, 30) Myrtle is an aggressively attractive woman. She's the wife of George Wilson, who is a lower class man. In the novel The Kite Runner, the description of Sanaubar is not depicted well, however they are rumours about her. One of the rumours is the following,“I have heard that Sanaubar’s stride and oscillating hips sent men into reveries of infidelity" (Hosseini, 21) Here one can tell that she is an attractive woman. Myrtle does not accept George Wilson at all and thinks of him as a slave. This was evident when Myrtle remarked, “I married him because I thought he was a gentleman,’ she said finally. ‘I thought he knew something about breeding, but he wasn’t fit to lick my shoes.’” (Fitzgerald,37) Myrtle thinks that George Wilson is not worthy. This is the reason why she has an affair with Tom. Sanaubar with the same mindset as Myrtle feels that Ali is not worthy as her husband, hence why she slept with Baba and ended up fleeing with a dancing troupe. Sanaubar compares her husband, Ali to a donkey this was evident when she exclaimed, “Old donkeys better suited to be a husband.” (Hosseini,150) Both of the women are not satisfied with the life that they chose and are trying to fix it.
