That is our way to survive (pg 41)”. With everything that was happening the Jewish faith was still strong in them, they still had hope even when times were bad and they stayed together and hoped for a better day. Everything that the Jewish faith had to go through to stay alive through the Holocaust is a testament to their strong will and their ability to live with anything. “Bite your lips, little brother… Don’t cry. Keep your anger, your hatred, for another day. That day will come, but now… Wait clench your teeth and wait.” (pg 53). This quote shows the morals and the strong faith that they had and even when they are getting beaten and killed, they will wait for their moment when they are free to go and to judge them. Both of the protagonist believed in something that they were passionate about and could stand behind one was about his dream to tell everyone about how they could live their life and the other was about a dream that could change their life by saving them from the evil that was the German people. Both did what they thought was right to get to their dream one ending up killing him and the other saved
