The book, The Lacemaker and the Princess, written by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, is about how a common lacemaker named Isabelle was picked up by Marie Antoinette, the queen of france, to serve as a friend to Princess Theresa, her daughter. Throughout the book Isabelle experiences how the life of royalty is while trying to figure out what side of the revolution she was on. After reading the book I think it would best be suited for 6th to 8th grade students because it was fairly easy to read and to understand. This would be a good book for students who are interested in the French Revolution. Although this book is historical fiction it is still valuable to education because it takes place during real events that happened in the past and this book
