Have you ever been in a situation where words weren’t always enough? This can happen in life in many different ways or situations. I believe that “/HUG,” “Denee Benton,” and “Gaming Communities” all show the way that words won't always be enough and that actions can speak louder. But “Denee Benton” and “/HUG” show it better than gaming communities. In “/HUG” the words said throughout the text didn’t matter much to the girl, until the hug. In “Denee Benton” what truly inspired her was seeing what she wanted to do in person. Finally, in “Gaming Communities,” some may say it shows that actions speak louder than words better than the other two stories because it shows what is done by trolls and others. There is a lot of evidence of this in the story. My first one is on page 7, “Play”. Visiting me. All of this - what about the's? It’s a game for you?” This is after the guy says he’s in there to play. Her reaction shows that when the guy tries to talk to her, it doesn’t work. The words just confuse her and don’t help her feelings. My other point is on page 9, “Can you hold me?” This further helps back up how even after all the talking between the two, she still wanted a hug. Elena needing a hug after proves that words won’t always help and sometimes you just have to show feelings in other ways such as actions like hugging.
