I know from my own experience with Five Guys' how true this is. Going from a small town in West Virginia to Northern Virginia, all I heard was that I had to try a Five Guys' burger because there was nothing else like it. I had the luxury of going to one of the original store in Old Town Alexandria , VA. I did not think there was anything special about this restaurant since I had never heard or seen any advertising. Once in the door, I saw the walls covered in articles about how delicious Five Guys' top rated burgers were. At first it was odd to see the boxes of Idaho potatoes lining the window, and seeing the clean, simple décor of the restaurant and did not see what all the hype was about. Then, the simple menu of hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger, bacon cheeseburger, fries, grilled cheese or kosher hotdog did not gain my confidence, but after waiting several minutes, the burger came and with the first bite I understood what all the hype was about. This basically means that it is a direct violation of citizen’s Fourth Amendment to be arrested or searched without probable cause. The key term in this entire phrase is with probable cause. ...been. Douglas MacArthur was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1880. Being raised in a military family had a profound effect on MacArthur as a boy and into adulthood. His father, Arthur MacArthur, was a recipient of the Medal of Honor; an award that would later also be bestowed upon Douglas. His grandfather had served on the United States Supreme Court. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated at the top of his class in 1903. This began his long and illustrious career with the United States Army. After rising through the ranks so quickly that he was promoted to Chief of Staff of the United States Army in 1930, he later decided to retire in 1937. History, however, was not finished writing the story of Douglas MacArthur. He was later called back to active duty in 1941 and was sent to defend the Philippines against the Japanese forces. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his efforts in that campaign. It was also during this time that he was promoted to the rank of five-star general; a rank that has only been achieved by five other men in the army, with the exceptions of George Washington and John J. Pershing. MacArthur was then placed in command of the U.S. occupation in Japan after their surrender from 1945 to 1951. Structure: This rhyme sequence sets the usual structure of the sonnet as three quatrains (sets of four lines) concluding with 1 couplet (a pair of lines). It is what makes up a writer’s style – how he or she uses language. The general thinking is that we are more likely to be persuaded by rhetoric that is interesting, even artful, rather than mundane. When John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” (an example of anastrophe), it was more interesting – and more persuasive – than the simpler, “Don’t be selfish.” Indeed, politicians and pundits use these devices to achieve their desired effect on the reader or listener nearly every time they speak.
