Typically prior to the purchase of a new computer the consumer reviews the computers system for both present and future needs. A review of computer systems such as the MacBook Pro Notebook by Apple and the Dell Precision M6500 by Dell reveals how my Pavilion dv6z Select Edition by HP compares. The HP Pavilion dv6z Select Edition carries an AMD Phenom™ II Quad-Core Mobile Processor with 2.1 gigahertz (GHZ) supporting more efficient operations. The eight megabytes (MB) of Random Access Memory (RAM) makes it possible to run multiple programs at once with speed. With the 640 Gigabyte (GB) hard drive at 7200 rpm the dv6z SE can store all of the applications necessary for work, school, and play. They each consist of hardware, software, input devices and generate output. The difference between the computers comes down to memory and processing speed and internal components. Computers come built in many different configurations to suit the needs of the different requirements they must fill for their individual users. The casual computer user does not need much more than the basics to run simple everyday programs and surf the web. People that use their computer for more consuming programs such as high powered games need more memory, better graphics, and faster processors. The world of technology is ever changing and even though my computer is relatively new it is has already been outdated. The computer I am currently using has an Intel core i5 CPU with 6GB of installed RAM 5.8GB of it currently available. My input devices would be the mouse and keyboard. For data storage I mainly use my computer’s memory as well as saving documents and pictures online or on small flash drives. My current computer also features a fingerprint reader for added security. One of the easiest comparisons is that both of these stories were written in the first person by the authors. In Sister Flowers the author tells a tale of the struggle she had dealing with a traumatic event. In the same way, Someone’s Mother tells of the struggle the author had in leaving an elderly woman lost and alone. Also, both stories show a person’s genuine concern to help someone in need. Sister Flowers deals with a woman helping a child to find her voice in life. Likewise, Someone’s Mother shares the story of a woman who helps a hitchhiker who has seemed to have lost her way.
