In order for this experiment to be successful one must follow a certain procedure must be followed. This procedure begins by gathering the following materials, four, seven gram packets of Fleischmann's baker's yeast, for petri dishes, four beakers, three colored light bulbs (red, white, and blue), ¼ a cup of warm water at 100 degrees Fahrenheit (per packet of yeast), 1 teaspoon (tsp) of sugar per yeast sample, a stopwatch, a camera, and a ruler in centimeters. After gathering these materials one must take all the colored light bulbs and screw them into a light fixture. This light fixture must be kept in a dark location, such as the closets used in the experiment, to make sure the yeast sample has no contact with any other light. Then the
