My business idea is about an online publishing network for new writers, with access to editing services, marketing services, design and branding services. A ‘do-it-yourself’ is the future of publishing.
By starting small, working on an initial author as a trial basis, we can discover the intricacies within the markets, using constant research and upgrading the process as technology grows. A channel where writers can find the trustworthy resources they need in one place. Jones Publishing will provide the services by connecting writers with reputable professionals. With so many niches within the writing industry, Jones Publishing will focus on non-fiction writing for young adults and adults in the genres of mystery, thrillers, romance, and science fiction.
Being an on-line publishing house, Jones Publishing will invest in the network infrastructure to channel information, a smart front page that will allow for easy use for the clients. Quick access for requested content. Professional outlines to ensure clients the professional nature of the site. Professional look, business minded for the author/artist that doesn’t think in a business sense. We’re a small firm of three with projected contracts in marketing services, editing services, accounting services, agent services etc. The author can focus on what they do best and leave the business side to us. We can connect agent services that will outline book tours, editing services to make the most of what is submitted, and take the finished product through to distribution.

Mission:
The business of this project is to be used as a publishing tool, to specialize in cutting edge and up to date technology within the publishing industry. The target customer can be defined as interested parties that want to be professional authors. Authors that want to establish themselves within the market and who understand that finishing the novel is only the first step in a chain. Jones Publishing will focus on the necessary functions to allow a reader to be able to purchase the authors final product.
For new authors, the publishing industry is vast and becoming specialized, becoming harder to be picked up by agents and traditional publishing houses, that are printing copy primarily from already established authors. Our primary product will be joining forces, being in the service of the author for the advocacy of the consumer. To help authors see the big brass ring and not get mired in all the unnecessary information. Most new authors are writing in their spare time and are focused through various life distractions; we will make it easy, with an all in one publishing avenue. Initially, the business will focus on the blog sphere as well as establishing brands for contracted authors. By focusing social media outlets, u-tube videos on how-to and blogs that showcase different untried formats. Jones Publishing will gather reviews for services that others have used, focusing on a gathering quality services. Jones Publishing will be a publishing house for the author by the author. With an author established of how interactive they want to be, Jones Publishing will be a one-stop advocacy group for the authors that choose the services contracted.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide the professional service with up-to-date market information with cutting edge technology and services. Contract services that are of the highest industry recommendations. Searching innovative approaches to marketing, branding, and on-line publishing. Current traditional publishers are publishing fewer new authors and focusing on only already established brands. We strive to be the most knowledgeable and trusted all-in-one publishing house for the other authors.

Future Goals
The primary goals of this business are to grow exponentially and develop a positive relationship within the publishing industry. Growth is the goal of many small businesses and can be a very challenging goal to achieve. This business seeks to achieve growth by expanding the number of authors serviced as well as the number of titles carried and total sales. Effective e-business requires an investment in developing a user friendly website and marketing for the Company. First, the company will need to contract a web developer. Focusing on ease for users, clean and clear format, easily understandable avenue for secondary content. Branding is a key to long-term success in this industry. As well as building a consistently efficient website and effective product for our customer base. Jones Publishing will focus on researching for the cutting edge and innovation in this changing and challenging market. Marketing to writers’ guilds, writers’ blogs, our goal is to establish an on-line presence as well a respected publishing house.

Vision:
Vision Statement: Jones publishing will become the well-respected provider of total service for authors to edit their product, establish their brand and build their careers. Once Jones Publishing is established, revenue will come from a percentage of the contracted services as well as contracted publishing fees and book revenue from the consumer. This service will be available on-line and will not be restricted by geography.

The primary corporate value is customer service and building a partnership with the author and the consumer. By focusing on the quality of the product for the consumer, security and usability for the author we will build on the relationship. With customers in both the author and the consumer, providing a quality product is the first step to establishing trust in the market. Well-balanced teams will work on research and development with an eye to growth. Smart leadership and innovative thinkers will build the future success of Jones Publishing.
Ethics are important to consider, we will establish a secure network system. We will build a trustworthy network of providers built on reputations of established contractors of services. We will be diligent against plagiarism and strive to be forward in our thinking. Any ethical violation could have a sever negative impact on Jones Publishing and the reputation of being trustworthy and providing a quality product. Jones Publishing will use the latest plagiarism software to ensure ethical standards.
The company also plans on being socially responsible to promoting reading for children. Reading is an important part of everyday, books are an important part of childhood development and as such, we at Jones Publishing will provide a Print on Demand and borrowing options for authors to be offered through the library on-line programs. Jones publishing will also contribute to literacy programs. This will have a positive impact in the communities and on the Jones Publishing brand.
Conclusion:
An on-line publishing company is an ambitious challenge that has the expectation to grow due to the all-in-one format combined with the author-established degree of do-it-yourself. With the market being so vast and difficult to link the necessary resources, with new e-book titles on Amazon.com, the recognized leader in the industry, numbering approximately 15 a day there is potential for vast growth with this business. With the strategic plan in place for growth, and Jones Publishing’s innovative leadership, we can handle any unexpected problems.
I was intrigued by the topic and look forward to this project evolving. Watch the minor in issues in an academic submission of first person, white space, and reference page issues. You brought up3-books in the conclusion for the first time. No new topics should be brought up by this late in a paper. This looks similar to my publisher, who is still well behind McGraw-Hill, that I am presently working with, both which have their strong suits.
