Controversial topics range from global tragedies to the newest video game. One that has lived for centuries, is whether or not the supernatural and paranormal exist. Like every discussion, there are believers and there are skeptics. Scientists tend to be the skeptics while those with an adventurous mind tend to those who believe that some other-world being exist. Scientists use experimentation to give explanations as to why someone would have a paranormal experience, and most have been successful in what they were proving, but those who are believers also give excellent points to why their experiences have no scientific proof with them making it hard to choose a side. There are many explanations of ghosts. The thought of loved ones still being with us after they pass is an idea that is sometimes just too much to get rid of. The investigation of ghosts is difficult to perform due to the fact that there is no set definition on what a ghost actually is. Two of the most known ideas is that the soul of a person who passed got lost on their way to the other side, and the other is that they are only telepathic being projected from our minds to fit our best interests. One argument Radford (2014) makes is, “Either they can move through solid objects without disturbing them, or they can slam doors shut and throw objects across the room. Logically and physically, it is one or the other” (para. 8). Psychic mediums often claim to talk to the deceased about their murder, but why is there unsolved murders? One medical laboratory in England was thought to be haunted when several of the employees reported apparitions and uneasy feelings of not being alone. One employee was skeptical and sought out to find the cause of these reports. After some digging, he found a very low-frequency.
