My name is Izzie Stevens and I am a communications specialist for Saving Ourselves and Our Planet (SOOP). SOOP is a non-profit organization based here in Minnesota and we have a special interest in Minnesota based companies selling goods and services that are environmentally and socially friendly. It is refreshing to see your company’s strong values and high regard for community involvement. There is one area we feel could benefit your company further, by sourcing your outdoor clothes and gear from companies who are environmentally and socially friendly.

As corporate social responsibility becomes more popular; customers are becoming more aware and looking for products that are environmentally friendly. Over the past year studies have been completed and released which examined consumer’s opinions on corporate social responsibility. According to the 2015 Nielsen Global Corporate Sustainability Report, 66% of global consumers say they’re willing to pay an additional fee for products and services that come from companies who have a positive impact on social and environmental justice.

By adding additional information to your website about where your products come from and what they are doing to benefit the environment; would allow your customers to get a better sense of who you are and what you are about. This information would allow your customers to see that you care about the environment and where your products come from. As a customer, from your website, I can see that you are exceptionally proud of the work you do within your community and your support of non-profit organizations. I would love to see additional details about how you are working with manufacturers that are proud to be environmentally friendly.
