Corporate Strategy analysis

There are many strategies that could be used to come on top of the competition, some may even use more than just one strategy. I think that each and every strategy is different but if it help provide a positive outcome it's great because not all strategies will work for everyone. It's a matter of knowing the organization, the public that is being targeted, and the cost to apply and enforce the strategy. The strategy of the CEO of American Airlines has decided to use a very useful and effective strategy. He not only treats his customers like queen and kings but he decided to go a step further and think this particular CEO understands the importance of the employees. I have witness organizations in where they treat employees like they are the key point of the company and because of this and other things as well most of these companies are very successful. An Employee will bend backwards if necessary to help the company when the employee feels appreciated. This CEO also decided to sit in the back of the plane and speak with the customer and this helps because this way he will be getting a better sense of how things work and also he is getting the customers viewpoints first hand. This is very important because listening to the customers feedback helps better services or change things around to accommodate it better to what the customer wants because at the end of the day they will be the ones making the business succeed or fail. like I said every organization is different and the strategies they use will be different. For instance in Xerox they decided to cut cost in different areas in order to help get the organization out of the debt hole it was digging itself into. This strategy is effective but it could also be very dangerous since you have to study well the organization and decide where you could cut cost back that won't affect you to make things worse for you. Aside from cutting back on the cost you also have to study and decide that is the most economical way yet better quality. This is a hard balance to meet but when it is met it accomplishes a lot. Another important strategy is creating new products. We as consumers/customers are always looking for new things and sometimes that is the way to go to help the organization push forward specially when the competition is doing so and succeeding. this is exactly what the CEO of the Coca Cola company did and her ended up with success, it is important to be consistently coming up with new ideas and creation to maintain the public's interest. When it comes to the clothing industry I have always thought that they have it the hardest in regards to the strategies that will help them go beyond the competition. It is hard specially because the customers are normally always changing with time and new trends so when a company want to maintain a certain trend it becomes hard to compete with others that are coming up with new treads because customers are always changing and wanting to change as the word of fashion changes yet there are a few that have managed to survive such as VF corporation, who is admired because he created something that went along with a lifestyle.
The CEO's of all these companies have managed to succeed because they each implemented different strategies that were needed to help the organization compete and surpass the competition. When things were going south for them they decided to step up in their role of management and make decisions that were a risky but well thought of . A manager will faced with hard decisions to make but they must just keep in mind their goal and not lose track of it. Make sure that in that goal members/customer is the primary focus.

In his plan to drive the company forward, Mr. Isdel did not feel the need to venture into the same businesses as his competitor, Pepsi. Pepsi had branched out from carbonated drinks to snacks foods like Frito-Lay. Mr. Isdel decided to remain faithful to the brand and introduced two new beverages, Coke Black, and a carbonated green tea, Enviga. Mr. Isdel's degree in social work shows he has compassion, and that spans across the work he does as an activist and within the community...
