In a company, collaborative help is important, as employees could pass their knowledge, experience and own thoughts to empower each other. Apparently, nobody are almighty, people can’t work without help in the process of gaining personal success. In other words, we make up for the shortcomings from building reliable relationships, find and fix the mistakes from helping each other. Therefore, some companies have already seen the benefits behind helping and taken helping into account. When employees are willing to seek help and help others, spirit of cooperation builds up in an organization. In this way, both of employees and the companies could get successful.
Collaborative help is a voluntary act, and the willing to help is the foundation of collaboration. However, collaborative help is not easy to accomplish, as the article mentioned about top manager should inspire employees, but not forced them. This could be a long-term process to achieve the goal, because it might depend on the attitude of each employee. Pursuing the good relationship among employees and founding helpful working environment become top priorities in an organization.
Making help the norm in a company is a big challenge, because there’s no rule to let employees follow and implement. Helping is an intangible capacity and resource of a company, but the behaviors and the atmosphere are visible to see.
Leaders play big roles that could encourage collaborative help in a company. As many employees are hesitate to ask people from higher status, leaders could help break the ice and make employees feel more comfortable and be trustful. From the success of IDEO company, I realized that almost everyone are involved in collaborative help, and people don't feel embarrassed by helping each other. In my opinion, leadership conviction may influence me to engage in helping behavior as the leaders make me feel we are learning from each other. Obviously, there’re many barriers for people to build trust at the beginning. I think any relationship is related to the person’s personality, values, and culture, so sometimes establishing trust is hard than people think, especially in the same working environment. Also, another barrier is responsibility. People would consider what if they made wrong decisions and opinions while helping others, so which person would pay the responsibility for the mistakes. At the same time, building trust is failed when there’s a concern about duty. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Thus, company needs to make their employees understand the benefits of helping relationship, and get over the barriers to provide an easy-communication environment in the offices.
“In the office we studied, nearly every person was named as a helper at least one other person”, I can see that helping definitely embedded in the culture of IDEO.I think the successful secrets of loyal employees’ relationship is to offer the space that employees are able to interact with each other, and the company believed that everyone could be potential helper and bring value for the company. Overall, helping relationship is a big power to discover each employee’s merit and blend them together, especially for company which is more focused on creativity.

...The Potential Product To Be Market In Turkey Agriculture has always been one of the leading sectors in the Turkish economy, largely for natural reasons: the rich soil sources, biological diversity, good climate and geographical conditions. There is also a tradition of hardworking farmers and, more recently, private entrepreneurs interested in investing in Turkish agriculture. Agriculture has an important impact on the social and economic development of Turkey since it meets the majority of the population’s food requirements domestically and prevents Turkey from being dependent on international sources and also supplies the raw materials of other sectors dependent on agriculture. The share of agricultural production in Turkey’s GDP was 8.3 percent in 2009, down from 10.1 percent in 2000. During this period, Turkey continued its economic transformation from agriculture towards industry and services sector. Despite the decreasing share in GDP, agricultural production has been rising since 2000. In 2007, output fell due to drought, however starting from 2008 it has recovered. Agricultural production in 2008 was 73 billion Turkish Liras and in 2009 was 79 billion Turkish Liras. As of March 2010, the Turkish agriculture sector employs 5.2 million people which constitute approximately 24 percent of the total employment in Turkey. Employment in agriculture has been steadily declining, by approximately 33 percent from 2000 to 2010. Considering the increase in the production during the...

Duties of Corporate People

...Within any corporation, an organizational structure must be maintained to ensure that the organization maintains itself within the governing documents of the state and of the corporation itself. Some of the most important people in the organizational structure include the board of directors and the officers of the corporation. However, these management personnel must also ensure that their actions are in line with the shareholders of the corporation, which typically are set out to increase profits. These three groups of personnel within an organization are important and their individual duties must be fully understood. Additionally, the differences between publicly held corporations and close corporations are important to examine alongside these duties. The first group of personnel to examine is the directors of the corporation. Many corporations establish a board of directors who have the authority to most any action according to the organizational governing documents. According to Mallor, Barnes, Bowers, & Langvardt "the board's authority includes not only the general power to manage or direct the corporation in the ordinary course of its business but also the power to issue shares of stock and to set the price of shares" (2010, p. 1049). The Board of Directors approval must be obtained for most, if not all, major changes to the organization to include any amendments to the articles of incorporation, mergers of the corporation, or dissolution of the corporation. In comparison...

Small Business Idea Paper

...step for a small business owner is to determine which of the four forms of business the organization will best fit with the new owner’s ideas. In addition, the business owner will need to review all tax legalities and implications associated with the different forms of business for her organization. This paper will discuss the four forms of business and the different types of financial statements associated with the forms of business in relation to consequences of taxes, liabilities, and accounting implications. Sole Proprietorship Sole proprietorship is the most common and easiest form of business to create. Some of the benefits of a sole proprietorship are that the owner can make decisions of hiring and firing employees, decisions of which vendors to use, what materials and equipment to purchase and what direction they want the business to take. A disadvantage is that the owner is limited to funds as a sole proprietor can only access the funds that are available. In addition, the sole proprietor is responsible for all liabilities associated with the business. The financial statement associated with at sole proprietorship is the statement of cash flow. The statements of cash flows provide financial information regarding cash receipts and payments of the organization in a specific period of time. This is important because lenders would like to see the amount of cash the organization has. This will determine if vendors will grant credit to the business or establish a...

Duties of Corporate People

...Corporate People Duties of Corporate People Corporations are businesses that are seen as separate entities from their owners. Corporations have shareholders which can be privately or publicly held. To create a corporation where stockholders interest is looked after, a corporate hierarchy is established. This hierarchy is divided up into groups between ownership and management. Each group has a set of responsibilities and duties that must be carried out as part of the corporate process. Corporations are divided into three classes, for profit, not for profit, and government owned. For profit organization issue stock to shareholders who expect to earn a profit on their investment (James Mallor, 2010, p. 1010). Corporations can be large or small. Some for-profit organizations like, General Motors, is an example of a publicly held corporation. Publicly held organizations have shares that are available to the public. Other organizations have shares that are held closely. Close corporations have very few shares that are not available to the general public (James Mallor, 2010, p. 1010). Close corporations are held to the same rules as publicly held corporations under the law. There are a number of people critical to the corporate process. First, there are shareholders. Shareholders are the owners of a corporation. However, the business law text explains that traditionally, shareholders have no right to manage the business of the corporation (James Mallor, 2010, p. 1047). It is also stated...
