...to be all the same in our gifting. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-26, Christians are likened to a human body made up of different parts with different functions. The most important factor related to spiritual gifts within marriage is that the person uses their gifting for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7). So whatever strengths or weaknesses are brought into the marriage by each spouse, it is important for each spouse to use their strengths and spiritual gifts in a positive way for the benefit of the marriage. It also is important for each spouse to know and understand the others spouses strengths and weakness. Unfortunately, many spouses tend to focus on the other spouses weaknesses. Larry and Judy Keefauver (2002, p. 7) highlight this problem, “when you really know someone it’s so easy to dwell on weakness instead of strength. The focus often becomes negative instead of positive. A husband or wife tries to correct and change instead of accept and pray.” Instead of focusing on the weaknesses, they suggest, “focus on the strengths in your marriage. Begin to release the weaknesses. Try this: List all of your mate’s strengths. Begin focusing on strengthening the other’s strengths.” (Larry and Judy Keefauver, 2002, p....

The goal of this assignment is to evaluate the provided case study on a “Conflicted” couple and to submit a clinical analysis to support this couple. ...My Personal Strengths and Weaknesses GEN 195 September 24, 2013 Louise Gerdes My Personal Strength and Weaknesses The most common thing employees will ask a potential employee in an interview is “What are some of your common strengths and weaknesses?” I despise this question simply because thinking about my strengths and weaknesses is not something I randomly stop and think about too often. However, that challenge was brought up in my GEN 195 class at the University of Phoenix. The only difference was that I was provided the proper resources/surveys to help me accurately recognize what some of my strengths and some of my weaknesses are. It ultimately came down to that even though my strength is organization, I struggle with writing and procrastination, so I will have to develop a set of skills in order to advance in these two areas. In order to succeed in my college career and take the next step toward my career choice of criminal justice, I know I will have to work on one of my weaknesses, which is writing. I know that writing is stressed to be important in my career choice, so taking a workshop to improve my writing skills will help me in the future. Nevertheless, I know that my academic writing will differ from the writing I will be expected to do in my career choice, so it would help me significantly if I took the time to re-read Chapter 10 and Chapter 11 of Your College Experience: Strategies of Success. I can both improve my chances of...

...Nuredinoski 4/10/13 Self-analysis Essay During this short course of semester in English102, I have reviewed both my strengths and weaknesses. By reviewing both my strengths and weaknesses has helped me a lot to realize what I have improved, and what I still need to work on to improve. My two major strengths I have acquired during this semester are being abele to do my homework on time, and acquired the ability of outlining in order to control my idea through logically formulated outlines. What I need to work on to improve is class participation. I have improved my homework doing habit dramatically during this English 102 course. Doing homework has always been a complicated task for me before I attended this class. Since other English classes I took before were a full semester schedule, I used to come class with out doing my homework. Finally, when I registered in this accelerated and fast paced class, I realized that I had to do all my homework before I go class to follow my professor lecture very well. Now, I am able to understand what the professor teaches about. This helped me to follow the professor attentively during the lecture. Doing my homework in time is the most powerful thing I acquired during this course of semester. The second strength that I have improved a lot is my outlining ability to stick to my central idea. Before this class, I wrote a couple of paragraphs and essays on other English classes. However, I usually used to deviate from the main idea of my paper...

My strengths are as follow, I am nice, friendly, kind and caring. Some of my weaknesses are my anger, and I am quiet and shy. I am a super friendly person, and really nice. I can make friends quickly once I start talking to someone. The hard part is getting to talk to someone because I am so shy and nervous when it comes to meeting new people. I also tend to be really quiet around people at times. I’m not the most outgoing person ever and I don’t like to stand out in the crowd or do something to make people notice me. I think over the course of the semester I have grown a little in this area. I think I have become a little more outgoing and not as shy. For my intellectual health there are also very many strengths and weaknesses. My strengths are, I am smart clever and a good and easy learner. My weaknesses are I procrastinate and I am a terrible studier. I learn things very quickly; I pick...

...Asses the contribution of functionalism to our understanding of families and households. (24 marks) A family is hard to define but some of the characteristics of a family are: they live in the same accommodation (although not always), they share their wealth and resources, they socialise their children and prepare them for later life by teaching them skills and also they tend to reproduce children. There is many different types of families: nuclear families, lone parent families and even extended families. The nuclear family is based on two adults of the opposite sex and 1.8 children. Other relatives may be added to create an extended family. If grandparents and even greater grandparents so that there is three or four generations then the family is vertically extended. If the parents have adult brothers and sisters living with them then the family is horizontally extended. A household on the other hand is a group of people who live under the same roof and share certain actions, such as cooking/ eating together but these people are not necessarily related. Examples of households are care homes, foster homes and also student accommodation. Functionalists concern themselves with two main areas: the functions that the family provides its members and the functional relationship between the family and other social system for example the economic system. Functionalists argue society’s structure working together positively for the benefit of that society and this is known as...

...Over the course of eleven weeks I have grown and learned more that I thought possible. Writing 122 has been an academic experience for me. I have overcome my weaknesses and developed a better understanding and feel for my strengths. I have revealed new weaknesses and strengths that I will continue to work on as I continue taking writing classes. Throughout my Writing 122 class I have accomplished a number of reader’s responses that have allowed me to reflect and express my opinion on the subjects assigned and essays that have allowed me to express my strengths and weaknesses in the course. My ability to write and express my ideas, thoughts and knowledge has grown stronger each week. I have always struggled to put my thoughts on paper in a manner that is coherent and correct according to assignments as-well as proper punctuation. I can remember being told numerous times in high school to “organize my thoughts” or “provide more support and examples”. These are the things that I have worked on and improved over the past couple of weeks and I feel that my work shows this. Moving through the first essay to the last essay I...

...Grade Recieved - "A" Identify a nonprofit health care organization and a for-profit health care organization of your choosing. Answer the following: Summarize the types of services provided, clientele served, and provider groups involved. Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of each organization from patient, provider, administrator, and third-party payer perspectives. Provide at least 2 suggestions for each organization to minimize the identified weaknesses. Summarize which organization you would rather be part of, using rationale. Abstract There are many differences that for-profit and not-for-profit organizations have between one another. Research has been conducted on one not-for-profit organization (VA hospital) in a for-profit organization (Baptist Medical Center) and the strengths and weaknesses from a provider’s and patient’s perspective in which organization would be a better choice to be part of. Not-for-profit hospitals are recognized for their charitable intentions. Not-for-profit hospitals have a habit of being larger and also have a tendency to be training hospitals. The earnings that not-for-profit hospitals receive are reinvested to enhance the quality care that is offered at these hospitals. Their earnings are also invested into community programs, which in turn can provide little to no fee to those individuals who are considered to be low income families and also maybe uninsured for the services of these programs. The purpose...

...In-N-Out Burger History and Overview. The history of In-N-Out Burger starts with the company’s founders, Harry and Esther Snyder. Harry was a WWII veteran who worked as a caterer of baked goods. Esther was a surgical nurse in the Navy, and later got a degree in Zoology. They met each other at the restaurant Esther was managing after she graduated from college. Neither had experience in the fast food industry, which was just starting at that time, but in 1948, the couple opened the first In-N-Out in the Los Angeles, California. Harry was the first to allow drivers to make orders over a two-way intercom system, creating the first Drive-thru experience. Snyder had a simple goal for his restaurant, to give the customers “the freshest, highest quality foods you can buy” while providing “friendly service in a sparkling clean environment”. Soon people started to become interested in this idea. Two years later the couple opened the Second In-N-Out Burger. The chain had huge potential to explode but the couple was very focused on quality control. This resulted in only 18 restaurants being opened over the next 28 years before Harry Synder passed away in 1976 from lung cancer. After Harry died his son who had worked in the restaurants all his live, took the role as company president being just 24 years old. While Rich controlled the company it experienced huge growth. In twenty years the company opened over ninety In-N-Out Burgers. Over this time only one new thing was added to the menu...

...Personal Ethical Viewpoint Most people have some sense of ethical values and the way in which people view the topic of ethics can vary dramatically from person to person. I believe that I have a great sense of ethics due to my upbringing, convictions and morals. Through life, I have always felt that I am a strong relationship builder and restorer. I have always tried to be objective and well-grounded when connecting with others. I have always maintained a sense of tradition and compassion. My foremost downfall is that I can be arrogant or overconfident at times. The following essay will reveal more about my sunny disposition in life as well as the demons inside me. Personal Preferred Ethical Lens I am lucky to be torn between two very good lenses. The first that will be covered is the Relationship Lens. Let’s define the relationship lens. My understanding is a group of people reflect upon the relationship between deciding what needs to be accomplished and the ethical plan in which to complete it while keeping in mind their duties. The second preferred ethical lens is the Reputation Lens. My interpretation of this lens is simple. People make decisions based on two items. What is ethical and how their reputation or role will come into play with the decision that is made. These two lenses uncannily describe me very well. When there are decisions to be made in my life, I always attempt to look at the big picture and then break it down into segments before making...

...for a stronger relationship I do not feel that we need to seek out our copies. What it really will boil down to is the couple’s ability to adapt and accept differences and to not see them as weaknesses but rather opportunities for growth (Olson, 2009). Paula Abdul, I realize that this dates me a bit, had a top twenty hit in 1988 titled "Opposites Attract" which has found some basis in sociological research. In an article found in Psychology Today this issue of why those who are different are drawn together is discussed, "Opposites, or perhaps more accurately, “complements” do attract...And while this can create some interesting challenges for most couples, these differences are actually the source of what is considered by many to be the source of the most important aspect of any successful relationship: chemistry" (Bloom and Bloom, 2014). This chemistry is what initiates an interaction that could lead to a lasting relationship. Those who are just like us tend to limit our ability to grow and adapt, which is needed in a healthy relationship. The PREPARE/ENRICH program allows couple to see where they have strengths but more importantly is shows where they can grow and then leaves it to the couple to decide if they are willing to work at it. When a couple leans on existing strengths in times of stress while striving through Christ-like love and patience to “Love one another, as I have loved you” then they are able to build foundations that will aid them through future trials...

...One of those weaknesses is that people are more okay with the idea of having children out of wedlock. The problems that can be associated with having kids before marriage include poverty from lack of financial support and delinquency. If a woman were to get pregnant with her boyfriend, it is a possibility that he would run away rather than stay and help raise the child. It does not happen all the time, but it is one of the risks that women may face. However, if the woman were married to the man, the chances of him leaving her would lessen. With having two parents to raise a child, there is also a better chance of that child not becoming a delinquent. Another weakness with marriage is that there is less stigma attached to divorce. Because of this, there are older couples who are getting divorced. It is not a terrible thing to get divorced especially if the relationship is not a loving one, but with an acceptance of divorce also means that the institution of marriage is not as...
