“The object of art is to give life shape.” – William Shakespeare. Art isn’t only paint on a canvas or a basket a fruit on a table. Performing arts such as theater brings a story to life. You can see a story unfold & feel the emotions as the story flows. For young & old theater will never stop amazing you. This art astonishes & lights up your life, so why do we shortchange it? Why are public schools tightening the noose on their funding? Why are we taking away opportunities to enhance a child’s life? I believe theater is important to provide in school systems. Here are three reasons why, theater is an inviting place for kids after school, theater is a creative outlet, & theater provides multiple opportunities to work with others.
