Overview of Organization

The organization that will be the topic in my final project paper is Camino Blanco Hotels. The hotel chain is a small family business expanding international chains. The company was founded in 1950 in a small corner of the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. It now has 102 establishments along the Mexican Riviera. Mr. Patron is second generation and chief executive. Following its solid expansion Camino Blanco Hotels keep the Colonial Spanish Tradition alive. The chains stand on pristine beaches and are some of the most beautiful sights to see and explore. My role as a Human Resource Manager is to bring quality to the hotel facilities with a professional team that has excellent levels of organization, customer service oriented to meet the company’s philosophy.

As a Human Resource Manager I have research the lack of career growth among employees and a bad turn over rate. Motivation lacks and retention should be an issue to consider. Competition is on the rise and incentives must ne in placed for employees as well as recognition and rewards. We want to hire the best skilled and valuable employees. In the past retention has been an issue having employees go with the competition. At this current time a lack of training exist as well as an opportunity for career growth within the company. Cut cost has also affected the ability to train and give bonuses to employees. The morale is quite low making it hard to keep employees around.

Preliminary Problem Statement

It is important to employ employees who posse knowledge, skills and abilities to build the success of the chain. Better retention and an opportunity for career growth is important to retain loyalty and job satisfaction. Employees need to be consider an asset of the company and in order to expect more from each
