A Good College Course

...A Good College Course What is a college course that students can call good? Why do so many students always take some courses which they dislike? College courses are different from high school courses because they will pay more attention to understanding. Many college students do not like their college life because college courses are hard to take. I thought it was true until I started my college life. Perhaps a good college course should be interesting, easy, and utility. People can call good if a college course is interesting. In other words, the course should have some fun. First, a good college course might be an outdoor learning course. For example, a geography professor leads his students to the Lower Mainland and shows them the landforms. Thus, all of the students have fun being outdoors. Second, some movies and videos can be used for teaching. For instance, the professor of Asian Studies shows his students the history of the Gold Rush through a movie. Therefore, the students remember all the events and the year of each event easily. As a result, a good college course should not only be interesting but also be easy. A good college course should also be easy. This means students will get a good mark without too much study. First, a good college course should offer easy exams to students. For example, students who take English 101 are able to pass the exam as long as they get a C-. Therefore, ninety percent...

Not every course you take will be extremely difficult with a tough professor and an eternity of material. There are many courses in college that you may actually find enjoyable, you just have to weigh out all of the factors. There are many reasons some college courses are more enjoyable than others. Everyone wants that ideal professor. You know, the one who is super nice, always greeting you with a delightful smile and warm hello. After their first day of class you had this sense of ease, feeling like this semester would surely be a good one. The mood set in the classroom is always a welcoming and open feel. Personal Essay: The Golf Course

...Many may see the golf course in different ways. Some may see it as a waste of space or as a waste of money and only good for rich men. I see the golf course differently than these people as this is my happy place. From the thick and luscious grass in the rough to the delicate greens this is the place I love. For the golf lovers in the area these simple but yet amazingly complicated holes can make the rough days much better. The love of this great game goes further than just golf. As I slowly creep along the entrance on the 15 mph road I approach the very large speed bumps. These stand out bumps have large scratch marks from the bottom of several different cars. These three speed bumps are the only thing slowing me down on my way to the crammed...

Pm592 Course Project 1

...PM 592 Project Cost and Schedule Control Executive Summary After reviewing the project costs, schedules, and earned values I have realized that there are some concerns with the schedule and costs. I have found that there are some tasks that have put the project behind schedule and over budget. After reviewing the project closely and making the adjustments by requesting and adding additional percentage for resources to the builder, plumber, electrician, hvac, and the ferris wheel supplier it will bring the project back on track and under budget. Which if you review the revised schedule you will find that the new schedule will still allow the theme park to open on time and within budget. Schedule 1 [pic] Performance Analysis Based on the Earned Value Management I have found that there are a couple stages behind schedule and once complete will end up over budget. Phase 1.5 Joists and Roof Deck is currently at 76% completion and is behind schedule, according to the charts once this is complete will end up finishing late and over budget. The responsibility of this task is on the Builder. Phase 1.7 Rough Carpentry is currently at 65% completion and also is behind schedule, this phase also will end up finishing late and over budget. Once again this task responsibility is on the Builder. Phase 1.11 Elevator is currently at 76% completion and also is behind schedule, this phase also will end up finishing late and over budget. Once again this task responsibility is on...

Golf Course Irrigation: Flowing with Technology

...Golf Course Irrigation: Flowing with Technology I had a hard time trying to think of a system and write about it, and then I decided to go with what I know; the golf course. For this paper I will discuss golf course irrigation automation and how it has progressed over time due to aesthetic demands and course playability. Years ago and at some smaller courses spread throughout the States still in operation, golf course irrigation systems used to require manual assistance. A hired employee worked the overnight hours watering the golf course using couplers attached to sprinkler heads. The irrigation employee would insert the required amount of heads to allow for proper water distribution, too many heads and water pressure suffers causing inadequate watering, too few heads and the underground pipe runs the risk of high pressure blow outs. Something better had to come about, using hydraulic pressure to regulate a valve at each sprinkler head and attaching that to a control box in the field, the turf managers can now set up a watering cycle during the day to automatically run at night. But these were mainly just timers and pins, very limited. Today we are using computer programs that can calculate everything needed to water a golf course both efficiently and effectively. By giving the irrigation software the data to establish water capabilities and demands, the software can distribute water throughout the golf course. With the popularity of The Masters Golf tournament...
