Music can be a hobby for some people or it can be a fresh start for someone who wants to learn something new. It is not too late to try something new or go back to an old hobby. Courtney Crappell the author of the article “Making Music Lessons Attractive Again” discusses the three main ideas to make music lessons eye-catching for current and potential students. The three main points that he elaborated on is “Making Piano Lesson Essential”, “Designing Encouraging Lessons and Practice Sessions”, and “Preparing for Encouraging Public Performances”. With the intention of doing this, the music teacher need to understand the fundamental technique that video game designers used to attract their customer. The question is what strategies can the music teacher design to make music lesson addicted as playing video game. Crappell stated “Proper preparation consistently pays off in public performance…to plan carefully for performance is to cycle repertoire so students are not always performing freshly learned pieces in high-pressure scenarios” (11). By doing this, the student can show their potential as a musician thru having the opportunity to play this master piece throughout the semester or year. It will give them confident on stage to perform something that they have known it from the heart.
