What does someone do to inspire you? To me, inspiration is the process of instilling an idea in someone to motivate him or her to do something. Many people do things simply out of kindness in their heart, and do not realize they are inspiring others around them. To me, Craig Kielburger inspires me the most. Craig Kielburger is a Canadian activist for the rights of children. He was born in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, on December 19th, 1982. During a school project assigned by Mr. Fedrigoni of Bishop Scalabrini, he created what we know as the “Free The Children” charity. The organization of Free The Children was founded by twelve years old Craig Kielburger, in 1995. He gathered eleven of his friends to fight for the rights of children even though they have a lot of money. Craig was inspired when he read a newspaper article about a boy named Iqbal Masih. This boy was a slave who was killed for defending children's rights. Today, Free The Children has worked in more than 45 countries, and over 2.3 million youth are involved with this organization.
