While in a group setting the group needs communication, there are many ways of ensuring that the team members as communicating effectively. Previously while I was in teams with four of my classmates I advise them to have the school app, so that if we need to contact each other about the assignment that was due at the end of the week then we would have notifications and we would be able to respond back at a timely manner. Along with on the first day of each week communicating to find out who would be responsible for being the group leader so they could do the outline for the meeting that was on Wednesday night when everyone was available. Before the meeting the leader would submit the agenda of the meeting so that everyone would know the view points of the meeting for that particular week. We would be able to discuss what part of the assignment everyone wanted to do and let everyone be able to ask any questions so the complete assignment would be understood for everyone to not have any problems completing the task that they agreed on doing. After the meeting the notes that was taken was submitted to the group to ensure everyone would have a outline to go by so they would be aware what was the next step of their assignment so the meeting goals would be achieved. Running a team online is really challenging, but with the correct leader that is strong to keep the group on track will ensure that the group is very organized along with having great communication skills so the group will have a better chance of succeeding in the tasks that is asked of them each week.

People are working from home or the other side of the planet, and it’s important to make these virtual meetings effective. Virtual meetings, which I define as anytime we discuss something with two or more people outside of the same room, can be done over the phone or on the web. Nothing frustrates people more than attending a meeting where there is no clear reason for it and no logical progression of topics to be discussed. * Check–in time. Take five minutes or so in the beginning for everyone to say something about what’s going on with them—professionally or personally. This gets everyone talking right away and helps facilitate camaraderie. * Schedule. Start and end the meeting on time, and keep the agenda moving forward...
