Business plays a major role in the economy today, simply because we are surrounded by growing businesses, ventures, and reproduction of business that takes place on a daily basis. With the recent clash in our economy with people losing their jobs, houses going into foreclosure, people filing for bankruptcy, etc. it has taken a toll on a lot of families as well as the nation.
In today’s economy we have the roles of for-profit and non-profit organizations within the economy. To start off what is a for-profit and non-profit organization? For-profit organization is an organization is an organization that takes in profits, take in a large amount of money than they spend. Next a non-profit organization provides particular services to the community, who are forbidden to distribution of profits to the owner. Organizations are mostly classified as for-profit or non-profit most businesses corporations are generally organized for profit, when non-profit encompasses charities, churches, or foundations.
Secondly, in the business environment we have the impact of current fiscal and monetary policy on the economy. What is the difference between fiscal policy and monetary policy? A fiscal policy is a level of taxation and expenditure options that can affect the progression in the economy. Monetary policy is the level of policy instruments by which a government tries to manage the nation’s supply of money that will be used. I believe the impact of current fiscal and monetary policy in the economy would have to be the banks giving out loans, high interest rates, etc. In the economy we have dealt with the fear not being able to pay, purchasing good’s from private companies in the states instead of across the overseas, raising taxes, decrease spending, monetary lower interests rates, and promote economic growth, and money at a low interest rate. I believe that these strategies could help with the issues that we have been facing in the economy since the huge fall in job losses, bankruptcies, etc.
Thirdly, in the business environment we have the selection of a product or service that you are familiar with in your business and I chose customer service. I believe that customer service is very important in this economy as well as the business setting that you are contributing with. Customer service deals with their customer’s one on one with any issues, concerns, or thoughts of the product that is a part of this company. Within customer service you must know that it is important to pay attention to the customer’s needs, be helpful, etc. I believe with customer service accessing the global markets you have to go the extra mile with your product, placement, promotion, and price. * Product- Your product could be different from any other product on the market. More reliable, good material, designed differently, etc. * Price – the amount the product could be cheaper than the others. Prices can also deal with how many all of the ingredients, development, and delivery of the product. * Placement- where the product will be distributed at? Or what end of stores will this product be in? * Promotion- how will we get this product out? Who will we get to promote this product? What age group are we trying to seek attention from for this product? With these helpful points on accessing the global market I believed that the product will have no problem selling if it has guidelines that have been properly established and looked over by a management team it will be a great success with reliable team work and ethics. It is important to research the intended product as well great research.
Finally, we have the selection of an organization that you are familiar with as well as the organization levels of social responsibility. I believe that an organization level of social responsibility reflects on the work ethics of employees, who are carrying out his or her duties as stated within their job duties. In the organization you have stakeholders which are those who are more in contact with the organization. Stake holders are more on hands with the resources that are available within the organization. With the stakeholders you also have shareholders who are those who own the organization. Shareholders invest money in the organization by simply buying the organization’s share or stock. The company responsibilities to ensure the finances are being taken care of; this can make the company be at ease knowing that they don’t have any debts. With stakeholders you have four stages to choose from which consist of stockholders, employees, customers, suppliers, and society. Out of the four stages I chose stage 2, which are the employees in social responsibility. I chose employees because I can relate since I’m employed at a business, who expect for me to show team capability, team work, team spirit, and company morale. Also with stage 2 it also deals with what the company must offer to the employees as well as expectations. Those can be proper training, ethical standards, communication, etc. It is not only the employees responsibility to carry out these expectations it is the business responsibility to help with ensuring that the employees are being provided with proper training within this business. Without proper training the employees can’t assist customers with their expected needs or concerns as a growing they must go above and beyond to help make sure that everyone is being trained in their specific work area. We must also show what is expected of them as a team in the company ever let the employees think questions are to allow let them see that your office is open always with any questions or concerns.
