Alexis returned home with Hackey, feeling more worn out then she’d intended when she began her “refreshing” walk. With a single motion, she threw Hackey’s leash by the door and undressed from her sweaty clothes. Tossing her dirty clothes into the hamper, Alexis threw on a cotton nightdress. Groggily, she flopped upon her mattress with a sigh, and waited patiently for sleep to come.
Sunshine blinded Alexis as she began to open her sleep caked eyes. Hackey, she had found, had splayed on top of her as she slept. With no lack of trying, her tired self failed to push the blubbery dog away.
“Hackey”, she sang in a cutesy voice “do you want a treat? Huh? Do you?” Leaping up at the first t of treat, the dog excitedly tap danced her…show more content… Who in the world would be up this early in the morning! After a few more minutes, the shouts for a ‘Hackey’ faded away. Relaxing, Dixie peeped her head out of her covers to glance at her phone. 10:57. Maybe it wasn’t so early for her to get up. Tripping over the mess on her floor, she shed her clothes and stumbled into the freezing shower. Now equipped with a clear mind, Dixie began to wonder if today was the day she’d be receive a reply about her story! Once the bus skidded to a stop, he strode off the bus, towards his class. The lecture began with his professor droning on in a monotone voice about the use of the print function in programming. Sander tuned out without hesitation, and in his bored state began to reflect upon the most recent events in his life. On the way to the bus, he’d discovered a poster titled ‘HAVE YOU SEEN THIS PET’. At first, he had simply looked past it, until a memory struck him. That was the girl’s dog. The tired looking girl he’d hollered at a ways back. Simply remembering it made him cringe into his seat. He relived that moment in his head so many times, and every single time he wished that his stupid past self had done something different. How in hell’s name could he blame the girl for getting him fired! What kind of an idiot was he? If nothing else, Sander desperately wanted to apologize. It didn’t even matter to him if she forgave him or not, because if nothing else, it might make him feel a little
