The wilder beast was a thirsty prehistoric dinosaur from the eighties. When Seth had seen it in the second hand caryard Cass had warned him that the pickup was destined for the big parking lot in the sky, but neither man could deny the majestic nature of the big old truck and it’s rumbling V8 engine.

The truck rumbled down the road kicking out a plume of dark smoke and fumes. This time Seth was out of his own accord and not delivering groceries to disgruntled customers that would rather anyone but him had come. His phone rang and Seth grunted in annoyance, Cass was probably wondering what had happened to his last six pack of beer. Seth glanced at the beers resting in the passenger seat. Frosty and beading water, Cass would forgive him, maybe. Seth watched the road ahead of him the events that had led to him almost being hit by a truck were still fresh in his mind. Seth squinted and frowned the radio had been real shitty of late. Perhaps he should start saving toward a new one. Taking a chicane the truck groaned and shuddering picking up speed to climb a hillock. And then it coasted down. Seth had no idea where he was going. He didn’t mind the occasional ramble. There was always something around to discover. Some road he hadn’t been down, something he hadn’t see even in all the years he’d lived here. It wasn’t like he had anything better to do. Having something to do required having friends and Seth could count all of his friends on one balled hand.
