There are times in our everyday lives that we do not even realize that we are using critical thinking, and usually that is due to the fact that most people do not truly know what critical thinking is. Critical Thinking is the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment. This is a very specific definition of critical thinking. In general critical thinking is the process we use to make a decision. Critical thinking has its own process with some very specific steps. The first step to the process of critical thinking is Knowledge, this is the basic information that you need to form a decision. Having knowledge leads you into the Comprehension stage of the process which helps you organize your thoughts regarding the subject at hand. The third and fourth steps are Application and Analysis, at this point you are able to use the facts that you were able to organize and form a decision in regards to the matter.
