Pensamiento Crítico
El pensamiento crítico consiste en analizar y evaluar la consistencia de los razonamientos en especial aquellas afirmaciones que la sociedad acepta como verdaderas en el contexto de la vida cotidiana. (WordPress, 2008). En otras palabras se entiende que es la acción de pensar, pero no únicamente por el hecho de pensar, se hace esto analizando cada cosa que se piensa para obtener un resultado correcto. Para llevar a cabo un pensamiento crítico se deben formular preguntas fundamentales relacionadas con la situación a analizar. La claridad y la precisión deben ser características esenciales del pensamiento crítico, esto lleva pensar con mente abierta y analizar todos los aspectos que rodean. Debe también existir una comunicación excelente con otros para el análisis de detalles importantes.
Un ejemplo muy claro de esto es que al trabajar para el servicio de la comunidad, es bien importante mantener una postura correcta ante situaciones. Muchas veces la población atendida en nuestra oficina y centros son personas, familias y niños con necesidades especificas ya sea de ayuda psicológica, familiar o física (como terapistas del habla, ocupacional, ect.) para niños con problemas específicos de aprendizaje o desarrollo.
Teniendo en cuenta el tipo de población que se atiende es bien importante mantener la calma y eliminar cualquier sentimiento o pensamiento incorrecto a la hora de actuar y evaluar. Ahí es donde se utiliza, entiendo yo, el pensamiento crítico. Se debe formular preguntas específicas y fundamentales para un análisis correcto de los casos. Un ejemplo hipotético sería el de una madre que llega solicitando ayuda pues se encuentra en crisis emocional por situaciones en su casa e hijos. Se encuentra muy alterada pues se procede a no involucrar sentimientos, pensando conscientemente en que esta persona necesita ayuda específica. Luego de que se calma la persona es bien importante formular preguntas y escuchar con oído bien atento todo lo que esta tenga que decir. Por más coraje que la situación pueda esto causar al entrevistador este tiene que mantener una posición integra e imparcial y teniendo en cuenta que la meta y el objetivo principal es lograr obtener la mejor solución posible para la situación presentada.
Sin dejar de mostrar empatía con la madre, y utilizando marcos de referencia e información adquirida por la experiencia se procede a llevar a cabo un análisis del caso. Utilizando la información obtenida por medio de las preguntas realizadas y aplicando las diversas leyes, teorías o protocolos diseñados por la agencia para casos específicos es que se logra un pensamiento crítico.
El beneficio de que se utilice el pensamiento crítico para la toma de decisiones en un caso es que se logrará remediar la situación que causa la crisis emocional de la madre, los menores involucrados tienen asegurada su estabilidad física, emocional y mental. Igualmente, se logran canalizar los diversos servicios, que según la entrevista y preguntas de inicio se identificaron necesarios.
