Corruption in todays society
Money and corruption are ruining the land, crooked politicians betray the working man, pocketing the profits and treating us like sheep, and we're tired of hearing promises that we know they'll never keep.Ray Davies Wherever there are people with power over large groups, there will be some corruption because not everyone handles power with integrity or responsibility. For example those preachers on TV with the huge churches and huge followings. People hand them money hand over fist, to keep the church going and for missionary purposes or so they think..while living in squalor themselves, and the preachers live in multimillion dollar houses and wear designer clothing and drive the new top of the line car models. corruption in todays government society is where the government is not looking out for their people, but only what is best for themselves. This often includes taking bribes to do things that are outright bad for the country. although we really don't see this as much here in the united states there have been many reports of basically bribery in Mexico. Most cases are known to be where people get stop by the police then bribe them or give them money to turn their heads and look the other way, instead of the police doing their job. Most of these incidents happen with Mexico's biggest group known as the cartel the cartel basically deals with drugs and transporting them to the united states or different parts of the world . Well they are very well known to get their way by paying Mexico's police and as well sometimes bribe the border patrol with loads amounts of money to like i said, just turn there heads and look the other way. Corruption may come from different things adding up to equal corruption but i have to say that the number one reason we have corruption in the 21 century I would say, would have to be that selfish greed is the primary motivator for corruption. Not all humans are corrupt nor is the government that is ran by them. However, the higher in, power, and wealth one rises or achieves, the greater the chance of leaning toward being corrupt seems to be. Still, there are exceptions. Corruption It includes bribery, extortion, and the misuse of inside information. It exists where there is community indifference or a lack of enforcement policies. In societies with a culture of ritualized gift giving.overall corruption has been around for ages from the ancient rome and the gods and probably will still be around for centuries to come, time will only tell.one just has to dig deep to search for what's corrupt or for whats right because since its everywhere one sees it as being “normal” nowadays.
“Look, we know we screwed up when we were in the majority. We fell in love with power. We spent way too much money especially on earmarks. There was too much corruption when we ran this place.
We were guilty. And that's why we lost. Eric Cantor”
