The CSI: New York episode “down the rabbit hole” starts off with a maintenance guy discovering a body lying on the floor of a inventory room full of mannequins. Next, the first officer arrives on the scene of the crime and, as explained on page 39 of the textbook, he isolates and secures the crime scene and we also see the maintenance guy being questioned.
Later, the walk through of the scene is made and the photography unit proceeds in the capture of photos (p.). the forensic pathologist examines the stage of decomposition of the body and determines by evaluating the rigor mortis (p.21) that the victim has been dead for 5 hours. They also find out that the victim was shot in the head and discover a surgical tubing around the wrist of the victim. After a blood sample is taken, two dashes around the neck are noticed.
Later in this episode we see two physical criminalists doing a spiral search of the crime scene with flash lights. A latent fingerprint(p.) is retrieved. During the body analysis, the pathologist in charge of the case finds a tick ( blood sucking insect found only in the woods) in one of the victim’s wounds. He reveals that the cuts on the neck were made by a surgical scalpel and that the tick was bloodless meaning, that it entered the wound prior to death. The ballistics unit (p.) identified the bullet as a 45 caliber weapon bullet which might have been mounted with a silencer. Also found at the crime scene was a doll with a name on it, “Johnny”, as well as a piece of mosel bamboo.
The pathologist, released a new piece of information stating that the cuts on the neck were not the cause of death, but were just inflicted to torture the victim.
After a PC and internet search was done, the last conversation of the victim was found and was used to track down a possible suspect. The tick found on the body appeared to originate from woods in the north of New Jersey and to be a carrier of Lyme disease which means the killer should have Lyme disease because it takes 1 week to contract after exposure to the tick. The internet conversations led them to a certain DON123. Investigators went to his apartment for questioning and found a gun. After testing out the gun using a virtual diagram of it, they realized that it was not capable of creating the wound found on the victim taking “Johnny” off the list and later we find out that the fingerprints found on the crime scene did not match his.
“Venus” the victim’s avatar(virtual being), despite her death, appears to still be used by someone else after she walks into a virtual online shoe store . Johnny’s body as well a judge’s body are found dead. Johnny was shot in the back of the head and the judge was found dead in the woods of north New Jersey where the tick originated from. Both were killed by 45 caliber guns matching the first victim’s murder weapon.
Investigators find out that the mosel bamboo found at he crime scene is used in renovations of buildings. After further investigations thanks to the physical evidence collected, investigators find out that the killer was using “Venus’s” avatar to get to a congressman. The mosel bamboo came from his apartment in New York meaning that the killer had already been there previously. Since the congressman was on his way to New York, the investigators assumed that the hit man was going to murder him at his apartment. They got there too late, she had already committed the murder and managed to get away.

PREFACE Rationale We agreed to produce the instructor’s manual for the sixth edition of A First Look at Communication Theory because it’s a first-rate book and because we enjoy talking and writing about pedagogy. Yet when we recall the discussions we’ve had with colleagues about instructor’s manuals over the years, two unnerving comments stick with us: “I don’t find them much help”; and (even worse) “I never look at them.” And, if the truth be told, we were often the people making such points! With these statements in mind, we have done some serious soul-searching about the texts that so many teachers—ourselves...
