The business research and purpose of the article “Using Technology in the Social Studies Classroom: The Journey of Two Teachers” is how technology in these times have changed and should be more encouraged in the teaching methods. Two teachers have been used as a case study to determine if technology used in the classroom is more efficient and effective. The purpose of using technology in the classroom is a way to introduce new and innovative techniques through technology integration strategies.
In this case study, investigations must be carried out in order to determine if in fact incorporating technology in the classroom will be beneficial for both parties involved; students and teachers. There are many teaching techniques that can be used but in the environment we live in today technology is the leading learning source we have. Because technology was the main focus and using different technology strategies, investigations were carried out between shifting from teacher-centered approaches to student-centered approaches. This consists of students becoming more active in the classroom and also willing to spend more time outside of the classroom.
The approach in collecting data to carry out these investigations was from two different teachers. Three steps were used; pre-service teacher experience during the methods block, student teaching experience, and in-service teacher stage, post graduation. Using second hand data from both teachers helped with many questions and concerns about using technology in the classroom. In this case second hand information was really the only way to receive data about using technology in the classroom as the two teachers had to perform task so an end result can be concluded.
Once the three stages were carried out the researchers proved to be correct. Using technology in the classroom enhanced the learning skills of students. Both teachers saw the value of technology for student learning and growth. One of the teachers continued to use existing techniques while incorporating new technology techniques. On the other hand the other teacher only used older technology techniques. Even though the old techniques were used the value of using technology still remained. In conclusion research has showed that using technology benefits the learning ability of both the teacher and student and provides them with opportunities and conceptualization integrating the technology in teaching content as well as appropriate context.

...Current Business Research Project Letitia miller RES/341 March 6, 2012 Alexander Odemba Current Business Research Project A response to "Reflections on a global financial crisis" Caprotti, F. (2009), "Financial crisis, activist states and (missed) opportunities", critical perspectives on international business, Vol. 5 No’s 1/2, pp. 78-84. • Define the business research and its purpose This paper seeks to draw out the main themes of the debate on the current financial crisis as published in the special issue of critical perspectives on international business Vol. 5 No’s 1/2 (2009) and place them in the context of subsequent events. It also considers what conclusions can be drawn both for future policy and for the conduct of future academic research. The paper overviews existing literature and summarizes the main findings, focusing particularly on some topics deemed important and interesting for directing future research. The paper finds that while the neoclassical approach to finance has evidently failed there is currently little consensus on how to replace it. This opens up the possibility of debate, new avenues for research and ultimately radical change. The paper argues that more interactions between academic and finance practitioners are needed. Research in finance should be interdisciplinary or embed the insights from other disciplines and it should put behavioral finance under main stream attention. The teaching of management and finance should also be more...
