CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter provides the conclusion of the study derived from the findings and discussion, and offers some recommendations which may give some inputs for future studies which concern about the benefit and challenge of the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum (Revised Version 2016) in the context of classroom practice of teaching English in Indonesia.

5.1 Conclusion
As stated in chapter 1, the focus of this study is to analyze the conformity of the elements one to another in the teacher’s lesson plans which implemented the 2013 Curriculum (Revised Version 2016) and to reveal the consideration taken by the teacher in designing lesson plans that accommodate the demand of 2013 Curriculum (Revised Version …show more content…
The elements designed by the teacher in each lesson plan conformed to each other, though there are several elements; indicators, objectives, learning activities, and assessment, that only conformed partly one to another. The findings showed that the conformity of each elements one to another is still inadequate to some extent. It is identified from some incomplete fulfillments which will be elaborated below.

First, it is found that the indicators do not cover several aspects that has been explicitly stated in the Basic Competence of the cognitive and the psychomotor domain. Similar to that result, the objectives only conformed partly to the Basic Competence since the objective did not cover several aspects that has been explicitly stated in the Basic Competence of the cognitive and the psychomotor domain. The suggestions are derived from the limitation of this study.

For the teachers, in response to the inadequacy of the elements’ conformity to each other, it is suggested for the teachers to comprehend the demands of the basic competences thoroughly, before deriving them into other elements. Since if the teachers do not comprehend what the demands of the basic competence are, the elements of the lesson plans will not fulfill the learning outcome expected by the government.

Moreover, for the researchers, a further study is suggested to investigate more comprehensively about the conformity of each element in lesson plans to fulfill the requirements needed in implementing the 2013 Curriculum (Revised Version 2016). However, this study was obstructed by the difficulty in finding the participant since this new version of curriculum is only implemented in a certain number of schools. For the future study, adding the number of the participant and the number of the lesson plans is suggested in order to obtain a broader picture of the real
