The claimant is an 11-year old filing a DI claim with an AOD of 09/01/2009 with a protective filing date of 12/1/2014, due to ADHD.
The evidence in file shows the claimant has a history of suicidal ideals, with multiple psychiatric hospitalizations. He was hospitalized on 5/21/15 for aggressive behavior. The claimant reported feeling that no one in his family liked him, and subsequently tried to strangle himself. He was re-hospitalized soon afterwards on 6/8/15. He was hospitalized a third time on 9/30/16, due to worsening mood symptoms and another suicide attempt. The claimant was noted over the prior month to have become increasingly depressed, irritable and hostile, with claimant getting into fights at school. His mother noted other times when his mood was elevated, and he was going, nonstop. She also reported the claimant was having both auditory and visual hallucinations. The evidence in file supports this determination; however, an earlier onset is supported. The claimant was first hospitalized on 5/21/15 for aggressive behavior. He did show some improvement but decompensated again on 6/8/15. The teacher reports moderate to serious problems in interacting and relating with others, most notably in claimant's inability to express anger appropriately. While successful some of the time, there are other times he is out of control. At his 5/21/15 hospitalization, the claimant was noted to display aggressive behavior, which included fighting with his sisters, striking a cousin and having been suspended from school multiple times. As a result, it is reasonable to conclude that claimant mental impairment met listing level severity as of
