...Managing a Daily Teaching Schedule Part 2 Tammy Dyke AED/201 August 26, 2011 Julie Gruber Managing a Daily Teaching Schedule Part 2 The teaching profession is like any other profession because there is just not enough time in the school day. Teachers need to use time management techniques to make the best of the time allotted for each class. Today the discussion explains how teachers may use time effectively. The discussion explains three time management techniques. The three time management techniques to be discussed are schedule solid blocks of teaching time, use time more efficiently, and effective transitions. The effect the three time management techniques have on the teachers’ daily schedule is explained. The discussion explains the ways the three techniques helps improve teachers’ success. The discussion also explains the ways each of the three improves success levels and reduces teachers stress levels. The first time management technique is teachers need to schedule solid blocks of teaching time (Shalaway, 2005). For example, hang a do not disturb sign on door to ensure there is no classroom interruptions’. Teachers may also speak with the principle to help schedule pull-out programs around teaching time. Teachers may talk to parents and ask if all doctors’ appointments could be scheduled after school to ensure students do not miss important classroom instruction time. The key is to maximize instructional time to ensure daily schedule is kept. Teachers’ success...

...One can have many tasks to complete on a daily basis. And that requires a planning to take actions and prepares for tasks one at the time. As a father of two kids and full time employee and student, it is hard to keep up with responsibilities; however, a daily calendar review is very helpful for the organization and time management. Indeed, communication is an important tool to execute tasks and take daily plan to the next level. In online education, students can set their schedule that fit to their personal life and that is a major benefit of online education. Organization, time management, and effective communication are key element to online learning. The first step in organizing anything in one’s life is to develop a personal organization. When one takes the time to organize his or her personal life, all of those other disorganized things that are related seem to start falling right into place. A study about time management shows that time management training led to an increase in perceived control of time and a decrease in perceived stress (Häfner, 2010). One should avoid stressful time to be more productive in online learning. Even though it may seem easy to study on your own; however, online learning more hard work and dedication to complete assignment and participate in online discussions. For example, on a weekly basis, one must write dozen of pages to complete the requirement of the week and that requires many hours of searching and browsing for articles. Online students...

For this assignment, you will choose a particular age group (infants, toddlers, or preschoolers) and design (outline) a program that is developmentally appropriate. Please review the following website for an example: Primrose School at East Lake In your paper: 1. Explain how the role of the administrator in program and curriculum planning is different from that of theteacher. 2. Briefly describe the learning and developmental needs of your chosen age group. 3. Analyze how your program will address the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development ofchildren in this age group (give specific curricular ideas for each area of development) as well asclassroom management and the daily schedule. 4. ...helping us with problems for example time management in studying. The conditioned behavior has been learned from frequent association. With different stimulus control procedures the behavior can be unlearned and replaced with new responses. The four different stimulus procedures that will be described in reference on how managing time in studying can be attained will be through antecedent-based interventions, cognitive behavior intervention, differential reinforcement, and self-management. These four stimulus control procedures will be described individually based on their contribution towards behavior modification. Antecedent- based interventions is based on environmental modifications to change the conditions in the setting in which the person is engaged in. This stimulus is used to identify the interfering factors requiring reinforcement. “Once the antecedents that trigger problem behavior are identified, several types of interventions can be used. These strategies involve reducing the future occurrence of problem behavior by eliminating the antecedent event, modifying the content or by changing how the content is presented” (The University of Kansas, n.a.). ...and daily exercise can make it easier to lose weight. While making goals it’s crucial to set a time period and to be realistic; don’t expect 50 pounds to be gone in one week. It’s also best to keep in mind to be specific on how much you wish to lose, measurable such in a scale or dress size, and attainable with their daily schedule kept in mind. Keeping a nutritious diet (such as fruits, vegetables, and unprocessed foods) will help better your body and help your body get rid of the extra unnecessary glucose, fatty acids and amino acids. Even with a nutritious diet one’s weight loss goals cannot be accomplished without some form of exercise that best fit the individual’s needs, for example walking or jogging, yard work (mowing, raking, digging), dancing, swimming, biking, climbing stairs or hills, or playing a sport like tennis or basketball. Together these three key steps will help you lose weight without losing your mind. Losing weight is similar to writing an essay; you have to start by planning it out. Make your goal attainable, specific, measurable, and set a specific date on which you’ll reach your goal. Start off by specifying your weight loss goal to ten pounds and the time period by which you’d want to have accomplished this such as in one month’s time. You have to prerequisite a daily schedule to plan out how to make this goal possible. The daily schedule will be a guideline and help keep you keep to your time limit. It’s crucial to stick to your own set schedule. Its...

...plan to use my time is when planning your schedule ahead of time and having a time limit is much more effective than just having to do things at the last minute, because when I plan my time it gives me more of an advance to run all my important things, and save more time to have for myself. For example: In create time buffers in between scheduled activities states. If you think a meeting will take 20 minutes, schedule 30, if you think an activity will require 60 minutes, schedule 90. This rule applies to pretty much everything: meetings, dentist appointments, dinner engagements, etc. I think I did not find places ineffectively nor inefficiently because apart from making my own schedule and having everything timed, I’m very busy with my family and I have to make sure that I set aside my time doing important things from spending quality time with my family and give them all the time I can to make them happy, so that at the end of the day I don’t mix personal time with work time. For example: Try to keep in mind that sometimes it’s more important to be timely than it is to be perfect. Plus, being perfect is not attainable, but being timely is. I did find some pockets of time that I could use for high priority task because in my case my family is very important to me and if I can find any free time to spend with them I will, also if I need that extra time for meetings, etc. then I also find it very important to use my time on. For example, Establish times for specific activities...

...control how much extra money I spend every month. Wanting to save for a different car is a good motivator for that. A couple other goals I have are set more time aside for school work, eating healthier so my brain works better and using better daily routines. Some steps that I have taken to achieve these goals are I set up an account specifically just for my saving I can’t touch. Look into getting a Wii U system to help occupy my five year old and start researching into better ways of dealing with her when doing homework. When it comes to food and daily habits you could call me a blob for I can get pretty off the track. To prevent this, I have made sure there aren’t really any sweets in the house to snack on. Set my alarm clock to get up earlier than I like, schedule reminders for appointments on my phone and have started making myself lists again to stay organized. Part 2: Write a specific goal for making the change, being sure your goal is realistic and fair. Use affirming, motivational language in your goal. For example, “I will show my best friends that I am paying attention when they talk to me.” See pages 55-57 for a discussion about realistic goals. Goal statements begin with “I will…" For example, I will schedule 3 hours on Tues, Wednesday, and Thursday to specifically work on my SPC 2300...

...psychological aspects affect performance, along with how sports can affect the mind and body. Health and sports psychology identify how psychological factors impact health, as well as the aspects of sports. Sports psychologists can employ shaping and chaining, reinforcement schedules, and one-trial learning techniques in teaching new technical skills among athletes. Shaping and Chaining Before identifying how shaping and chaining can be employed to teach new technical skills to athletes, sports psychologists have to understand each process of shaping and chaining. If a behavior does not take place, it is not associated with an individual’s performance or listed in the abilities that he or she is able to perform. Shaping can be used to add behaviors that can help athletes perform, effectively and efficiently. Shaping can identify a behavior that is not present yet and work towards the retrieval of that specific behavior. Rules for shaping consist of identifying or analyzing the desired or needed behavior, reinforcing the estimates close to the behavior to work towards building it up, and observing the results. In sports, shaping can help athletes reach their targeted behavior and perspectives, expanding their skills. For example, athletes that struggle with leg strength and confidence can start by...

...form curriculums for teachers in the program to have as a guide to teach young children. For an example, each county has a board of education for the school system with administrators who form a curriculum for teachers to teach by; and administrators leads the teachers to make sure the teachers are teaching children based on the curriculum formed by the board of education. Child care centers usually form curriculums based around what program the center is accredited by through the state. For an example, here in Georgia we have a program name “Bright from the Start” which has standards each center must meet to be on the program and have curriculum for each child care center to follow. Whether it is a school system or childcare center administrators and teachers must work together to teach from the curriculums formed so children can learn. How the role of the administrator in program and curriculum planning is different from that of the teacher. Education administrators organize and manage the administration, support systems and activities that facilitate the effective running of an educational institution (AGCAS 2012). For an example, in a childcare center the administrators are the owners, directors, and whatever program that accredited the daycare center through the state. School systems have administrators also. The board of education votes on the school super intendant who schedule meetings to plan a curriculum for the school system to teach by. The school super intendant...

...can enhance your work experience if you are able to accomplish your plan. Benefits of Time Management There are several benefits of time management: 1. Control stress. Time management is stress prevention. Time management reduces stress because you can meet deadlines, and you can work fewer hours with greater results. 2. Balance your life. Working long hours and taking work home with you can harm the natural balance you should have in your life. By learning to manage your time, you can do things you want to do instead of spending all your time on work responsibilities. 3. Increase productivity. Part of time management is determining how you spend your time. Once you determine how you spend your time, you can modify your schedule to increase productivity. For example, you might find that you waste time in meetings when a group e-mail could address the issue just as well. 4. Identify priorities. People who have the most trouble managing their time are those who do not know what their priorities are or should be. Knowing your priorities helps you spend valuable time where you need it most. 5. Accomplish goals. One of the most important aspects of having a time management plan is setting goals. Without goals, what you are working toward is unclear. Following your time management plan increases your chances of accomplishing the goals you set. Personality types and time management When thinking about time management, it’s important to acknowledge that your personality type...

...educational future. I always fail to do certain things like staying positive. Staying positive and keeping a positive attitude is essential in order to everyone to accomplish their goals . All students will have to have a positive attitude when it comes down to constructive criticism. For example (he or she is not pulling their weight in the group). Some people live up to what goals and expectations they set and others choose to go another path. However not everyone is perfect. The driver of this degree plan is me I am the person behind the wheel that is accountable for making mistakes. The first way to achieve my academic success is to maintain my attendance. Attendance is something that a student must take seriously to be academically successful. There are ways that as a student I can be successful in maintaining a good attendance. First step is to take the time out to review the schools attendance policies and guidelines; this can help remind me of my responsibility. According to Green’s article “Every teacher is looking for students who are serious about the subject at hand, who work hard in the classroom and who show progress and ability.” (Green, 2004) Another way is to set a schedule for attending classes and checking in for online classes. Also making arrangements by providing my instructor and team with my information in case of emergency, and possessing a backup plan for completing and making attendance in advance. Another way for achieving my academic success...
