A database structure is a computer slang for an organized set of information that can be kept, recovered, added to or removed from with ease. Presently there are an assortment of databases and the nature of database will define how the information is organized when it is kept and how that information will be placed when it is called up. At Dell where I work for a hospital call Park Nicollet I know that they use HP Service manager, which is an object-relational database management system. Park Nicollet uses this database for making and tracking work tickets within the hospital. HP Service manager is used to track many things for instance work orders that are in progress, on hold, complete, items, shipping and receiving. HP Service manager is needed to keep up all of the work orders created for the IT department and its produces. One can research information about anything IT related for the hospital and know precisely how many work order are open, closed, and who is working on them. This process is much easier than calling someone on the phone to ask, what, when, any updates, or ETA on projects. It’s all documented in the service manager.
Database Design Most databases are constructed around are a network database, flat database, relational database, and a hierarchical database. The relational style of database is the most frequently used but surely not the only type. The precise situation will define which flavor of database is best fit. HP Service manager is an object-relational database management system as stated earlier and may fall under the relational database model or manner.
