On April 14 at 7:32 The MOAB, a bomb large enough to cover 9 city blocks was dropped in Afghanistan (Barbara Starr). Previous actions of the terrorist group known as isis have caused the U.S. military’s action. We have all found ourselves criticising our government’s decisions; but we only know bits and pieces of a much larger picture. When a country or group brings harm to others such as genocide, terrorism, and threats of nuclear war. Actions speak louder than words, when a country or group act out there will be consequences. When a nation commits an act of genocide they bring on a lot of attention. For example in WWII Adolf Hitler began a mass genocide against the Jewish people. But in January of 1945 Soviet troops arrived and liberated the camp in Auschwitz (History.com). Later on December 9, 1948 the United Nations …show more content…
Nearly 3,000 people were killed in that attack( History.com) and the minds of all americans were branded with the image. Retaliation was necessary for a direct attack on our country. When innocent people are put in danger from a terrorist group retaliation is necessary. Without the use of military force they would run over society with little opposition. Obviously we would have police force but they can’t prevent everything from happening. When we could have the military confronting them in their own base where it is just their people. Countries have recently became more involved in nuclear development lately. For example North Korea has made threats to the U.S. and recently they launched a nuclear missile intended for the United States. But the missile failed before it even reached its destination. A nuclear bomb threat not only throws a country into widespread panic but it also endangers the people of the leader who issued the bomb threat. Nuclear testing has room to fail and can affect the lives of thousands or in some case millions of people living in an unstable
