Description of the opportunity
The perceived needs, wants or problem is that most students prefer ready prepared or convenient foods since there is not enough time for cooking.
The evidence of the existence of the need is that, most students have short interval between their classes and during that time. Cooking becomes difficult; therefore students may go in for convenient food that is affordable by students.Gari (Gari, Sugar, Roasted groundnut, Milk and water). The groups experiencing the need are student Ho Polytechnic Campus
This problem have a very serious effect on the student population because, during break the time spent in cooking a whole meal will sometimes have effect on the next class and the student may not be able to come to class early.
The opportunity is worth pursuing because it will make it easy for student to be always punctual in class which will improve on their academic life.

Gari is a local prepared snack which is prepared by sorting the raw cassava. It is been roasted in a hot pan It is been stirred for about 30 minute after which a sample is taken to see if the sink removes easily which indicate it is been cooked.
It is then left for some hours to cool down and it been settled. This can be eaten with beans, soup, stew, etc.
The feature of the roasted gari is, it has a white colour and it is pulse
The benefit or values is that the roasted gari is very convenient and does not require much time before food is ready. One tin goes for GH¢1.00, instead of tightening it in rubber, I fill it into a bottle.

Assessment of the market
The market of the product are student of Ho Polytechnic. The proposed customers are Ho Poly Students the estimated market size is more than 500 customers a day. Not too large but manageable. At the price of GH¢1.00, will be able to appeal the target market.
