Two characters--Finny from A Separate Place and Neil from Dead Poets Society---are very similar in sharing different qualities. Both are very adventurous and outgoing, as well as being athletic and leaders. Finny says to Gene, “‘We’ll form a suicide society, and the membership requirement is one jump out of this tree’ … ‘The Super Suicide Society of the Summer Session!’”(31). Finny is outgoing and adventurous by creating this club as he convinces six other guys to join his club. He shows that he is a leader by always having answers and always showing up to each meeting. Similar to Finny, Neil recreates a Dead Poets Society with his own group of friends. He gets inspired and goes out on a limb to recreate this club that his professor did before
