Deadlines All throughout life, everyone learns choices have consequences. One way this is learned is by having deadlines. In school, the deadlines were things like: turning assignments in on time, reading a chapter before class, or having money for meals in the office by a certain date. Deadlines are something we learn very young because they can be crucial to different occasions over the rest of our life. Deadlines are important no matter which profession one may have. Even as a store clerk or manager. A manager must have all the materials and products in stock. In Example: The delivery truck comes on thursday. The manager must keep track of which items were deplenished or sold since last week, so as to know what needs to be ordered before the truck arrives. As a clerk, one must keep track of sales in order to restock shelves as needed. Deadlines are very important and missing one has one or more consequences. They are especially salient in law, be it law enforcement, criminal investigation, or criminal justice. In the area of criminal investigation, deadlines are important for many reasons. Different evidence on a crime scene can only be value for a certain time period. This type of evidence is referred to as transient evidence. One example of transient evidence is blood spatter. The blood itself, despite its mutable form is not transient evidence. The splatter however can determine how the attack happened, where the victim and attacker were located, and many other details. These patterns will be cleaned after the release of the scene. Therefore, the need to analyze them quickly is critical to the case. The information gather from the blood spatter will potentially be needed in court to support the case. This proves two points on why the deadlines are important. 1. Certain evidence needs processed before it is no longer valuable, and 2. Having the information

...called adjourning. According to me, Christine’s group is at the storming stage because this is the period of emotionality and tension among the group people. However, infighting may be happen among the group and result in many changes will be occurred. This is demonstrated in Christine’s group when Mike did not attend in the group meeting with many reasons. Another example is when Christine saw her teammates except Mike and joined together in a cafeteria; Mike came and complained of not letting him know there was a meeting. As a leader, Christine should have a meeting after class with all of the members, divide each part to the right person, it means the duty is suitable to teammate’s ability. Then, Christine also announced for the deadline of the project for the team. In addition, if anybody needs help, just let Christine know. The primary problem in the group is the leader does not know how to motivate the members, and the secondary problem is the disagreement among the teammates. I suggest Christine...

...COM 440/POL S 461 Assignment 1: Spring 2016 Click Link Below To Buy: http://hwaid.com/shop/com-440pol-s-461-assignment-1-spring-2016/ One of the best ways to learn the rules of law is to apply them to hypothetical situations. That’s why I'm asking you to analyze one case problem with several parts involving material discussed in Lessons 1 and 2 (including the discussion forums) and chapters 1 -3 of the textbook. Please refer to Practice Exercise 2-2 for examples of this type of legal analysis. The first step is to read the facts of the case problem carefully and e-mail me if you have any questions. The next step is to identify the correct area (or category) of law that is applicable to each question of the case problem. In other words, does the question deal with sedition or fighting words or prior restraint or time, place and manner rules or another area (or category) of law covered in Lesson 2? This part of the analysis is essential because the legal rules differ depending on the area of law under consideration. Once you determine the area/category of law that's applicable (and sometimes it’s given), then the last step is to apply the correct legal rules to the facts of the case problem and to state your conclusions. Here’s the case hypothetical, followed by instructions on how to prepare your assignment. Case Hypothetical Let’s assume that Gloria Santos is the Green Party nominee, campaigning for the open congressional seat held by Representative...

Ups Delayed Delivery

...1) Research the problem and describe what occurred to prevent the packages from being delivered on time. UPS did not have enough staff to sort and planes to deliver too many packages. UPS handles most e-commerce orders. In order to push sales, many online retailers guaranteed customers that their packages would arrive on time at the last time and offered deeper discounts than they did on Black Friday. Some retailers even extended the deadline to place orders by 24 hours, compared to that of last year, which reduced time to deliver packages. Expectations on next-day delivery and lower prices made many customers place online orders late and resulted in a surge in online sales and shipping volumes. Moreover, many retailers chose to shift more orders by air so as to guarantee that packages were arrived on time, which increased the burden of air delivery. In addition, lack of related information and communication with retailers and incorrect forecasting about holiday shipping volumes resulted in failure to deliver all packages before Christmas. According to the incorrect forecasting, UPS could not make an appropriate plan for the holiday peak. In 2013, the holiday shopping season was 6 days shorter compared to that of 2012. Because of shorter season and far more holiday shipping volumes, UPS had to deliver more packages per day and had less recovery time. Bad weather also caused delayed delivery. Because of bad weather like winter storms, more customers bought gifts online and many...

Case Study

...This is a case study based on a young recruiter who hired new trainees to work for an Operations Supervisor at his firm. This was his first effort within the short period of time he has been employed, and felt that all of the requirements would be completed by the date of his choosing. As the deadline drew closer, he had discovered that the requirements had not been completed. Being pressed for time, he knew that he would have to rush to meet the deadline he had promised. In this case study, we will first evaluate the flaws within the recruiter’s plan and what preventative measures could have been implemented in order for Mr. Robins to stay on track with his deadline. Next, we will analyze how Mrs. Carroll, should have presented precise guidelines for Mr. Robins for this task. She also should have conducted monthly follow-ups ensuring that Mr. Robins, a fairly new employee himself, stayed within the allocated time period. Finally, we will question whether or not the firm has any Polices on the hiring process. The Case In April, six months into his campus recruiting job at ABC, Inc., Carl Robins successfully recruited new hires to work at the firm. This recruitment effort being his first, he assured the Operations Supervisor, Monica Carroll, everything would be in order by the orientation on June 15th. After Memorial Day, two weeks prior to the day of orientation, Mr. Robins decided to check the records of the recruits he hired and found out that most of the requirements had...

Following are some problems which the Satera team project is facing right now • Relationship conflict between two senior mechanical engineers of the team. • This conflict is destroying team cohesion • Lack of communication among team members • Team as a whole is failing to meet the deadline. OB THEORIES Diversity, cohesion and productivity: The Satera team consists of people who are very skilled and have a different approach towards every situation. The issue in this team is the lack of cohesion among the team members. The two senior mechanical engineers of the team - Ira Lovas and David Bennett, have a very different style of working and hence rarely agree with each other. This lack of harmony among these two members is increasing and creating an unfavorable working environment for other team members. The productivity of the whole team is adversely affected and the team is failing to meet the deadlines. Business

...here, and this is the Daily Writing Tips newsletter. If you want to retain clients over time you'll need to learn how to set deadlines effectively, and how to meet them on every single project. Below you'll find 3 tips I have in this regard. ------- 1. Set Yourself an Earlier Deadline Let's say you've got a big project due on Friday. There's no reason why you shouldn't aim to complete it by Thursday instead (or Wednesday!); this allows for last-minute hiccups, and might even mean you can send your work to the client early. This also can help take the pressure off and make writing easier - you don't feel that you're racing against the clock. 2. Keep In Touch With the Client On big projects which take weeks, keep in contact with your client. Sure, you know that you're working diligently away on that series of articles, but if your client hasn't heard from you in four weeks, they might wonder whether you're going to meet the deadline or not. It only takes a couple of minutes to send an email letting your client know that all's progressing well, and that you're on track for the deadline. It's time well spent - it gives your client peace of mind, makes you look organized and thoughtful, and it may well encourage them to hire you again! 3. Write Things Down A big mistake you can make is to try to memorize the deadlines for different projects. Even if you are just working on a couple of them simultaneously, it would be a good idea to write the...
