He promised to send messengers to Adam and these messengers would bring his guidance. Adam was reassured that those who follow their god’s guidance will have no reason to feel fear or have grief. ii. The Question of Identity – For an Islamic, their personal identity is in relation to Allah. They fully submit to the will of Allah according to the Quran. It is this relationship to their Creator which defines, establishes and maintains their very humanity. From Allah they derive their understanding and knowledge of what is right, what is wrong, how they came to be, who and what they are and thus the purpose of their life here on this planet. iii. The Question of Meaning/Purpose - So what does the Creator, Allah, tell us about our purpose in life? The Quran states that mankind’s basic trust, our responsibility, is to believe in and worship Allah: “And I did not create Jinn and mankind except to worship me alone.” (Quran, 51:56) iv. The Question of Morality – The Islam’s Quran is not an appropriate guide of ethics or moral problems or dilemmas. It deals with judgments that are concrete situations. ...Decisions in paradise part III MGT/350 June 23, 2011 Professor Renee Anderson Decisions in paradise part III Nik has assembled a business plan and made some difficult choices in how to run this branch in the country of Kava. While making this plan he had to keep every employee in mind as well as the surrounding area and the disasters that plague it. Once Nik determined the direction of the company, he began to implement his business plan decision. Implementing the decision is the make or break point of a plan. A plan could be good in the process of creating the plan but without proper implementations strategies a plan is destined for failure. In this paper Nik will discuss determining factors affecting decision implementation, evaluate the resources and actions required for his decision, and evaluate the ethical implications from stakeholder’s perspectives. Implementation factors Many major factors are a part of implementing a decision in a workplace. The determining factors to the success of a decision have a great deal to do with the implementation process. The process has to be planned carefully to include all of the factors that may fail. ...Running head: Decisions in Paradise Part II 10 October 2007 Decisions in Paradise Part III As has been previously described in the first two parts of the Decisions in Paradise, various solutions and techniques have been developed for the company’s greater presence in the island of Kava. Developing the company and the people of the island without sacrificing the company’s goals and objectives is the main target towards success. This paper will focus on the implementation of the solutions mentioned in the previous paper. This will emphasize on the factors that affect the implementation process within the organization, resources and actions required for decision implementation, and ethical implications from stakeholders previously mentioned. Looking at the important factors that affect the implementation process within the company itself would be necessary. The main issue to be handled would be the implementation of the issues that has been analyzed and discussed. To be able to have an assistant towards the implementation, having a position on Office of Strategic Manager (OSM) with the purpose of coordinating decisions implementation the same way as the CFO coordinates with the budgeting process. The presence of the OSM in the company will provide a local manager to handle the implementation process of the decisions and coordinated the local company’s objectives more effectively while freeing the corporate office out of trouble. ...Decisions in Paradise Part III Jamey Gifford MGT 350 University of Phoenix Decisions in Paradise After making the proposal of establishing The Home Depot in Kava, there still has to be ways on how to implement this correctly. Implementation of this kind of decision should not be taken lightly. Many factors need to be considered and taken care of before work can start. The company cannot only think about the factors that might affect the company but also the factors that might affect the citizens in Kava. Beside the factors that might affect the implementation of the decision, the company still has to think of the resources that will be used in the implementation of the decision. The company must think about the courses of actions that need to be taken to accomplish the proposal. Last, the company must consider ethical issues. The organization cannot just implement all the decisions that the organization wants to implement in a foreign country like Kava. The company has to think of the wellbeing of the people there and many other factors that make up the ethical aspects of establishing greater presence in Kava. Because Kava is known as a disaster-prone area, one factor that may affect the decision implementation is the environmental factor. Kava is known for their disasters like hurricanes and other natural disasters. Although disasters happen this must not stop The Home Depot from perusing their goals. But the organization cannot ignore the possibility that it can also...
