Decisions in Paradise: Part 3 In this paper we evaluate the final stage of the decision-making steps of the implementation of the expansion project of Wal-Mart in the island of Kava. Wal-Mart has decided to expand in Kava in order to support and promote the economy. Nik, Alex and Chris are representing the organization of Wal-Mart , and their mission is to plan for the implementation and a proposed solution to establish greater presence in the island. The island is faced with the threat of natural disasters. Tsunamis, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes have ravaged the island. Disease such as HIV/AIDS and avian flu Avian Flu threaten the people of Kava. Determining the factors that have been considered and reviewed during the phase of the decision-making process we were table to identify the problems, define the criteria, goals and objectives, evaluating the effect of the problems and identifying the causes of the problems. The alternatives were framed and the impacts of the alternatives were evaluated to determine the implementation of the decisions to expand the current location of the Wal-mart Store. The decisions were based on the skills learned in the textbook Critical Thinking by Paul and Elder (2006). The factors affecting the implementation of the project were identified as three major factors: company image, technology and the environment. Wal-Mart is known in the U.S. for its quality of service, variety of products including electronics, food and clothing and competitive low prices. To ensure quality of service and low prices do not get affected by the treats of natural disasters that have been affecting the island security measures need to be considered and implemented.
