...you an apology, I am totally aware of my actions and the fact that I have not been a good friend to you. I guess the past year, might have been the hardest year in my entire life! I have dedicated myself to the school – and I hope you will be proud of me. I see that my last post was last summer right before senior year! I feel awful, but maybe I could make it up to you, by writing what has happened since last summer. Let me take you back too my last year at high school! At the end of the summer holidays, I told myself that I would do whatever it takes to get the highest grades in my entire year. I know it was an exaggerated wish, but as you may know I always do my best to achieve my goals! So the day before first day of school, I renewed all of my school stuff, I just threw it right in the thrash. I got new books, dictionaries and a new cupboard, so I could organize my folders and books into the different classes! Back then my closest friends; you know who - JJ, Michael and my boyfriend Jasper, just thought I was geeky and they would make jokes about it all the time. At first I did not bother being teased by them, I know it was meant in the kindest way! School started and I was prepared! School was a battlefield and I was a samurai warrior who would destroy everything, and win the battle! I always sit at front row and raised my hand every time I had the chance! I tried to keep in touch with JJ, M and Jasper; of course Jasper was my first priority. I remember feeling he...

He questioned himself many time “who am I” and “who are men?” he was a sinner and lived a very disorderly life. For example, as a child he was not baptized, he was not initiated in the Christian formation and he became afraid to sin after receiving the sacrament. This kept enriching his Manichean beliefs, he was “seduced and he seduced others, deceived and deceiving by various desires” and his doubts about encountering the truth kept increasing. ...financial constraints and join tigo Ashanti some three years back. My impression before the school was obvious “come sell and go” but today, I feel there’s a company that understands my plight and has a vision in making my dream a reality. The school gave me hope and a reason to belong with the aid of building a family who are today my key customers. Basic educations of our product were amiss, coupled with a dedicated back office and a mentor but after TSS I can boldly state that my performance has appreciated due to the availability of the above. The school has really impacted my life in so many ways, today, I have my own room; I have some savings and about entering the teacher training college. Am so grateful and to sum it all, I have some dedicated friends and family to rely on. Before TSS, I was rated as an average Freelancer because the focus was to sell and move on but I’ve come to the realization that sales is not about just selling but rather educating and sensitizing the customer about the goodies of your product. This has really increased my customer base hence apt my performance. Today, am rated the number two in Ashanti North and tenth in the Country but hope to be the first in my Region and Country respectively. Honestly, I feel tigo is a great environment that accepts and rewards hard work because with the introduction of the school and some reward packages introduced by the school, I feel the sky is my limit. Looking into the future, I see myself in the main stream...

...the challenges she faces as she tries to balance her cultural heritage with the western influence that she encounters in the surrounding English community. Jess must deal with the wants and restrictions of her family while trying to be a part of the western culture she is exposed to at the soccer league. I lived the past two years in Hong Kong and I watched my fellow students struggle with the same dilemma. My classmates and friends tried to blend their culture and parental expectations with their own goals and desire to adopt many elements of western society. Nowhere was this more evident than in my acedemic improvement. Chris, a close friend of mine in Hong Kong, went through a similar experience as he tried to pursue a career in acting and yet live up to the expectations of his father who wanted his son to follow him into the family business. He had to juggle the norms of his traditional Chinese parents with his own wants. I moved to Hong Kong two years ago with my family where I attend the Canadian International School. It was quite an experience. We moved into an area where many of the tycoons of China live. All the children who live there attend private school and many are enrolled in the international schools because their parents want them to become more worldly and to be ready for the global society that Asia is fast becoming. For many of the students, they are the first generation to grow up with money and western exposure at a young age. I quickly realized...

...ged my life dramatically; playing basketball is my favorite thing to do and brings joy to my life and family. I have never been good at the whole school thing. I am not an amazing A+ student, and didn’t have the greatest relationship with my family until something great happened. When things aren’t going right I always have basketball to motivate me In high school I was not the best student. I didn’t take it seriously, but that all stopped when I made the varsity basketball team. I didn’t want to disappoint my teammates and wanted to be eligible to play. My freshmen year I couldn’t play in two games because I had bad grades. It was the worst feeling I have ever had and from that point on I was going to do everything I could to get good grades. Basketball motivated me to work hard in school and got me through my four years in high school. I wanted to be that student athlete and not the girl that is good at basketball but cant play because of her grades. If I didn’t play basketball I would not be in college right now. I had to sacrifice a lot of things for basketball such as hanging out with friends. I made a lot of friends playing basketball and my high school team was like my second family to me. We were together all the time. We kept each other from getting into trouble and had each others back. Being so close to my teammates forced me to stop hanging out with the friends that are always getting in trouble and not making the right decisions. Playing basketball has made...

...years old and recently decided to advance my career opportunities by taking online college courses. At that time I never thought that I would find myself in the roles of a mom to a newborn baby boy, a wife of an active duty service member, and a student. At first, I found it most discouraging trying to find the time to balance college classes with all of the activities in my daily life, as being married to a soldier of the United States Army means being a single mother, currently living in a foreign country, at times of deployment. Several years have passed since I graduated high school and educational advancement was not my first priority. At that time, I had decided to join the United States Armed Forces and serve my country while stationed in Europe. Although I do not regret that decision, I do however regret not attending college directly after high school and having the option to join the service as a commissioned officer. I now decided that going back to school to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Human Recourses Management at Penn Foster College would offer many career opportunities and set an example for my son. Taking online courses has proven to be more difficult than I thought. With my 9 week old son needing my attention most of the day, my husband working extended hours and housework piling up, I do not have the luxury to always have a set schedule allowing me to attend traditional college classes on a campus and in class rooms. My husband tries to be as supportive as he...
