...Demo Bookkeeping Bookkeeping is the process of recording the daily transactions of a business entity in a chronological order. Accounting Accounting is the process of recording, classifying, reporting, analysing, interpreting and communicating of financial information to the stake holders. Accounting is the combination of all the 6 fields while bookkeeping is only a part of the accounting process. Double Entry System According to this system, every business transaction has a two-fold effect and that it affects two accounts in opposite directions. One of the two aspects is the benefit receiving aspect or “incoming aspect” (termed as Debit) and the other is the benefit giving aspect or “outgoing aspect” (termed as Credit). For every transaction, one account is to be debited and another account is to be credited in order to have a complete record of the transaction. The basic principle under this system is that for every debit, there must be a corresponding and equal credit and for every credit there must be a corresponding and equal debit. Following this principle, the arithmetical accuracy of the accounts can be checked by preparing a Trial Balance, where the total of Debits and Credits should tally. It is a scientific system maintaining a complete record of transactions which helps in the ascertainment of profit/loss and financial positionof the business while maintaining the accuracy of accounts Accounting Cycle The entire accounting cycle is based on the double...

...Today’s data centers house a large number of diverse bandwidth devices including bladed servers, clustered storage systems, virtualization appliances and backup devices all interconnected by networking equipment. These devices requires physical cabling with an increasing demand for higher performance and flexibility, all of which require a reliable scalable and manageable cabling infrastructure. Challenges arise not only with trying to research data center cabling offerings in order to determine what you need for today and for future growth , but also with evolving cabling industry guidance which sometimes lags in the race to deliver standards for deploying technologies such as 10 Gbit/sec data transmissions and beyond . Using structured approach: Using structured approach means establishing a main distribution area one or several horizontal distribution areas and two post racks for better access and cable management. Figure shows the top view of data center layout showing a Main Distribution Area , a Horizantal Distribution Area and several Equipment Distribution Areas. Figure shows sample logical diagram of cable distribution between and HAD and several EDA’s using horizontal cables Layout of a horizontal Distribution Area that includes patch panels, cable managers, and network equipment. Structuring the cabling has many benefits and since manufactures strive to confirm to standards compatibility should not be a major issues. A structured infrastructure provides...

...How I Spent My Summer Vacation Essay, English Composition Writing on How I Spent My Summer Vacation {1} The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time. ...Marc How did we arrive at this situation? Natasha has called me to tell me our department is not effective. Antoine Those people in development never understood market constrains. We always have to firefight because they do not tell us when they need something in time for us to do our job Ernest I spoke with the representative from LCSD. He told me that they will have it next month in their warehouse. The previous lot was contaminated, and was returned for purification. Antoine Why didn’t they tell us before? Ernest the technical expert had called the lab technician that had requested the product. I was not aware there was an issue. In any case, it is a very sophisticated product for a top priority project, so they want to control the selection process Theresa I am participating in an internal task force (ITF) on the subject. There are a lot of materials like that. So we do not have time to cover each in a systematic way. Antoine If they do not open up, they will always have supply issues. ITF are the teams set up to focus on specific issues. They were launched 18 months ago, to help different functions work together on complex problems, but they are usually firefighting exercises. Marc Have you tried to use the ITF to have an impact earlier in the process? And for those materials, Theresa, how much do we need in the coming month? Do we have visibility? And for the coming years? Theresa When they place the order, it is processed in SAP. For the materials with issues, we...

...Simulation Review Craig W. Pasanen HSC/405 April 16, 2013 Todd Brown Phase 1: Capital Shortage Elijah Heart Center (EHC) is a 140 bed facility that specializes in cardiac care, located in New York. It has fallen on hard times even though patient volume and profits are increasing quickly, however the profit margin is falling. The Chief Executive Office of ECH would like to reduce cost by $900,000 in one year. The author of this paper would recommend a few possible way of making this happen. The first step taken was to reduce agency staff personnel. Staffing agencies were created to provide health-care providers with talented health-care professionals to fill their demanding and challenging openings ("White Coat Medical Staffing", 2013). The main reason this was chosen was due to salary. Agency worker’s salaries are often twice that of a regular staff member. This move alone saved ECH over 2.4 million dollars in salaries and benefit for the agency workers. The second cost cutting step was to changing the skill mix; this was achieved by hiring nursing assistants at an average salary of $26,609 a year versus a registered nurse who makes $69,123 ("Salary.com", 2013). This resulted in an overall saving of 1.4 million dollars. So just by adjusting the staff ECH was able to save roughly 3.8 million dollars. In order to fund the changes it was decided that a loan needed to be secured. Loan options were presented and the decision was made to pick...

Recent decades have coincided with the rapid globalisation in Australia society, due to a main reason is the government’s immigration program as skilled worker migration. This program has been very much impacted on Australia labour force. According to Australia penetrates into the ageing society, a serious skilled labour shortage is occurred in many industries. {text:toc-mark-end} {text:toc-mark-end} {text:toc-mark-end} Especially, the nursing industry is mainly affected by the aging population issue. Because of falling mortality rate, life expectancy and declining fertility rate, demand for nursing workforce is rapidly increasing in number. So, the solution that the government came up with the shortage of nurses was the General Skills Migration where overseas nurses can work in Australia. Through the skilled worker program, as many as number of lack of nursing labour force could be replaced by immigrated nurses. ...Automation is the use of control systems and information technologies to reduce the need for human work in the production of goods and services. In the scope of industrialization, automation is a step beyond mechanization. Whereas mechanization provided human operators with machinery to assist them with the muscular requirements of work, automation greatly decreases the need for human sensory and mental requirements as well. Automation plays an increasingly important role in the world economy and in daily experience. Automation has had a notable impact in a wide range of industries beyond manufacturing (where it began). Once-ubiquitous telephone operators have been replaced largely by automated telephone switchboards and answering machines. Medical processes such as primary screening in electrocardiography or radiography and laboratory analysis of human genes, sera, cells, and tissues are carried out at much greater speed and accuracy by automated systems. Automated teller machines have reduced the need for bank visits to obtain cash and carry out transactions. In general, automation has been responsible for the shift in the world economy from industrial jobs to service jobs in the 20th and 21st centuries.[1] Movable type is the system of printing and typography that uses movable components to reproduce the elements of a document (usually individual letters or punctuation). The world's first known movable-type system for printing was created in China around 1040 A.D. by Bi...

...Fatoumatta Jaiteh ENGL 1312: Section 2 Dr. West-Fort October 1, 2013 A Response to "BARBIE Q" by Sandra Cisneros "Barbie Q!" I did not understand the title of the story at first but to my understanding, i thought the writer wanted to use the word "Barbie" instead of "Barbeque" to make it look "posh" and feminine. As we read the story in class, i got a better and deeper undstanding of the whole moral of the story and why she used the word "Barbie". When i saw "Titties" pg (339) i was like "wow," the writer is bold and no wonder they banned it. It seemed like two girls were playing with the dolls and making remarks about their dresses and comparing how glamorous they look. We were all kids at some point so i get that. These barbie dolls send negative messages to the children of today. When kids play with them, they tend to know about make up, boyfriend, the glitz and the glam etc at an early stage. Yes i understand it's good for a female to look good but not at age 3. You can look good for yourself. Some females are more secure when they wear make up some are not. I won't call myself a "feminist" but i stand and support womens rights. These kids might want to look like barbie at some point. Well, it's already happening e.g "Toodlers & Tiara's" is a perfect example of how mothers of today teach their kids to believe that if you do not wear tons of hair, jewelry, exposing dresses, heels & make up, you are not beautiful enough and society will not appreciate your natural...

...How life has changed. A 1994 poll found more than half the children questioned said they were afraid of violent crime against them or a family member. Are these kids just paranoid, or is there a real problem?Visitors to this site who read the newspaper or follow the news on radio and television will have no trouble realizing that there is a link between conflict and violence. On the day this paper was written, we in the Washington, D.C. area were obsessed with a sniper who had killed nine apparently randomly selected victims in the preceding two weeks, a foiled suicide bomb attack in Israel, and the United States government's ongoing preparation to launch a war against Iraq. Additional insights into violence are offered by Beyond Intractability project participants. Not all intractable conflicts involve violence, and even for those that do the violence is not necessarily constant. Thus, in mid-2002, there was little or no fighting in Bosnia or Burundi and had not been for some time. Nonetheless, violence is often a part of intractable conflicts at one point or another in their histories. Not all violence is part of an intractable political conflict. For instance, there have been no hints of political motivations lying behind the sniper attacks in the Washington region. However, much violence in today's world is political; indeed, depending on the estimates one believes, it took in excess of 100 million lives around the world during the twentieth century. Violence...

...Democracy No country is ruled by pure democracy, because it can only be practiced in a Socialist nation. Some nations claim to be socialist, but none are. n the Philippines, some mediocre thinking Filipinos are fed up with an illusion that after the Marcos Administrations through a woman whom they call “icon of democracy” in the Philippines – which is late former Philippine president Ms. Corazon Aquino, the Philippines has now become purely democratic country; whereas it is not. Actually, the Philippines still remain republic just like the times of Marcos, but what has happened only or have changed after Marcos administration is the increased of freedom of people to do whatever they wanted to do including the relentless and useless killings of everyone against their fellow Filipinos, most especially the media people, though the media people have gain more freedom to express their ideas and thoughts, murderers and killers have gain also more freedom to kill media people. It is a directly proportional freedom. Democracy means rule of the people. The two most common forms of democracy are direct democracy and representative democracy. In direct democracy everyone takes part in making a decision, as in a town meeting or a referendum. The specific rules may vary: perhaps everyone must agree, perhaps there must be consensus, perhaps a mere majority is required to make a decision. The other, better known form of democracy is a representative democracy. People elect representative to...

This library efficiently utilizes multiple processors within Windows Azure roles, where the size of the Virtual Machine instance is greater than Small (i.e. where there are multiple processors available). Additionally, the demo shows how to scale-out applications taking advantage of Technical Computing across multiple role instances, using a Job scheduling algorithm. The work is distributed to all the available instances, maximizing the CPU processing of each. Travelling Salesman demo is using a “genetic” algorithm to quickly solve the problem that would ordinarily require very many conventional interactions to solve. The problem and its real–life applications are widely documented (for example, see http://www.tsp.gatech.edu/index.html). The algorithm used in this demo was taken from http://www.heatonresearch.com/online/introduction–neural–networks–cs–edition–2/chapter–6...

...Demonstrative Communication Paper Antoine Moore BCOM/275 11/13/2014 Symone Starr-Parker Demonstration Communication Paper Communication is something that we use every day. But what is communication? Communication is a form of passing information from one person to the next and one place to another by acknowledging the senders intent. Comprehending the message, and acting upon it to create a shared understanding. We communicate sometime without even knowing it. There are different forms of communication. There is no verbal, verbal, and non-written communication. We communicate by the tone of our voice, our body language, facial expressions, and so forth. Communication Communication starts with the person who is going to send the message. In order to ensure that their message is received the sender must make sure that their message is clear and correct. The sender can do this by making sure they use the proper grammar, noun sequence, and punctuation. This is key because if the sender uses the wrong words, or speak to fast or slow, this will affect if the message is received clearly. The message itself has to be clear and coherent because if not the medium that the message is sent through might become understandable. If a letter is being used to deliver the message make sure that the ink is clear and not smudged, make sure your words are legible, make sure they are not rips or anything that will affect the receiver’s ability to read and understand...
