Derek Sheely, a college football player for Frostburg State in Frostburg, Maryland. Died from a concussion that he didn't know was happening. His death affected; his family, Friends, It took place on the field. It happened because Derek had been subjected to 13 hours of practice over a 3 day period. He died six days later. His death affected; his family, Friends, Teammates and school. The outcome was a severe concussion that took his life. I learned that concussions can be extremely severe and life threatening. The thing that I found most interesting was that Derek's coaches couldn't recognized the signs of a concussion.
