...Jack Royston Dr. Patricia Oman Eng 100 11/17/15 Essay 5 Attempt 2 I visited London before I came to America and it was a very emotional and enjoyable experience and I feel that it is a memorable experience as I spent time in my favorite city. I also feel that it would be relevant to other people as it is a famous city and many people would be interested in visiting it as it has many famous landmarks and buildings. I live in Essex in England, which is 30 minutes away from London by the train. I have visited London many times to visit friends, see the sights and to attend soccer training sessions. I became reasonably emotional; as it was the last time I would see London for many months. I feel that London is an amazing city and that it has so many sites to visit and I have many memories from visiting London. It is also the capital of England and it is one of the biggest cities in the world and it makes you feel like you are in an important place. I visited London with my friend that I have known for many years and we spent the day travelling around our favorite areas of the city. It was a hot summer’s day in July and I remember feeling excited the entire day and looking forward to enjoying the city. We walked around Oxford Circus going into different shops and observing the busy street. I enjoyed the feeling of being able to enjoy the city as I noticed that...

...Why do people act the way they do? A simple question, but a vital one if you are interested in understanding the reasons for why a certain group of people have a particular culture – the values, beliefs, underlying assumptions, attitudes, and behaviors shared by a group of people. In order to have a more tangible, stronger grasp of the underlying causes that influence the actions of people, a firm grasp and study of the liberal arts of a country is extremely helpful, if not necessary. Consequently, the benefits are tremendous – not only will it help understand the actions and beliefs of a group of people that may be completely different from yours, it will also help you predict and understand what sort of behavior is accepted or shunned. Furthermore, having a firm understanding of the liberal arts of another country is extremely useful in the business setting, as businesses are naturally influenced by the culture of the people who run them. ...Boeing and Capitalism in the United States of America Abstract This study investigates American capitalism in a historic perspective. The paper then proceeds to examine the issue on a meso-level with its relation to the company Boeing. Finally it discusses the various entrepreneurial decisions and their impact on the success and failures of the corporation. The approach has been reading relevant historical books, finding articles on the Internet and interpreting different views and opinions such as the theories of Schumpeter and Fligstein. The research shows that the American capitalism has changed towards a greater use of intervention that differs from the very laissez fare conditions that were dominating in the beginning of American capitalism, though it is still not comparable with the European conditions. The company Boeing is being subsidized by the government, which can be characterized as crony capitalism, since the cooperation between these organizations helped Boeing develop a monopoly in the market of aircraft manufacturing. The entrepreneurial decisions in corporate strategy and structure have led Boeing to both peaks and disappointments. Table of Contents Introduction 3 Phases of American capitalism 3 Characteristics of the American capitalism 4 The Corporation and the State 5 Globalization 6 The 1992 EU-US Agreement 7 The technological development 8 Analysis of the abovementioned development and its reflection on American capitalism 9 ...

...was very exciting. The buildings are so tall and gigantic its hard to picture it in my head but also difficult to describe. I am currently staying at an hotel located at 63rd and Wallace. I was able to attend the opening ceremony of the Chicago World's Fair, and boy it was crowded. I have never seen this many people gathered in one place. President Grover Cleveland was also at the fair and pressed the button signaling the opening of the Chicago World's Fair. The one thing that surprised me the most was this ride called the Ferris Wheel. I have never seen anything like it before, it is like a big wheel that spins in a circle and you can ride in it. For every person that road in the Ferris Wheel they received a free sample of Cracker Jack, which was weird version of popcorn. The second day of the fair I was interested in seeing a show called Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show which was located right next to the fair. A lot of people attended the show, and it was worth the money I spent. I also visited the Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building which had many sorts of art. The ones that really caught my attention were the exotic art which seemed to be very popular. I also got to visit a very unique invention called the clasp locker. It is suppose to change the way we close things like on clothes. Their were far to many extraordinary attractions that I could describe and all of them were fascinating. I think the Chicago World's fair will change society and bring our nation closer...
