With the score at 24-18, we thought we did not have a chance. This was a very aggressive team but we were too. Our coach always says “never give up” but even he was starting to lose hope now. He lightly pats my back and softly says “you're in, kid.”
“Well, here I go” I repeatedly say to myself, “you are fine, you can do it. Just don’t mess up.” Our team has the ball now; all I have to do is catch it, dribble, and shoot. “How hard could it be” I say to myself. Wow, I got the ball, but all of these hands are waving in my face and I'm pretty sure a girl is tugging on the ball with me on the other end. Remember when I said “how hard could it be”? Well, turns out, VERY hard.
