Desktops vs. Laptops

You may often hear people say laptops are better to have than desktops. Although they are very convenient and portable, desktop computers are faster, easier to work with, and have more features. What is best for one person may not be best for another person. They both have their advantages and disadvantages, but for each we have to consider whether the good outweigh the bad. We have to take into consideration price, size, speed, and capacity, battery life, and stability. Laptops are usually more expensive than desktops because that are a great deal smaller and still have many of the same components as a desktop. Because of the way they are designed, components have to fit into a small compact space, conserve power, and produce less heat. Repairs and maintenance will cost more because they usually require professional work in order to be fixed properly. The parts are also smaller for laptops, making them more expensive. The most obvious difference between laptops and desktops is size. This is also the main reason a person may choose to get a laptop. They are much smaller and lighter, which makes them easier to travel with. You can go anywhere, anytime, and still have access to a computer. You can receive wi-fi, so the internet connection should not be a problem. You are not tied to one particular desk, and you have the freedom to move around with them. They are great for class and work presentations. When you get a desktop home and place it that is probably where it will stay because it has to be plugged into an electrical outlet constantly, and it is too big to be moving around regularly. They come with more parts such as a mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor, screen, and they have more cords. Because they come with separate parts, they are easier to use for some people.
