Marketing Plan: Develop Short and Long Term Strategies

...in five years. These short and long term goals are what drive your business. From a planning standpoint, you must also develop short and long term strategies to reach these goals. Short term strategies revolve around cause and effect actions. You will institute an action and then measure the result. For example, if you run an ad in the paper, or send out a direct mail coupon, you can easily track your response rate. Depending on the amount of new business you generate, you can assess the effectiveness of the campaign. Most of the time, these strategies involve costly advertising, so you must be sure you are reaching your target market, as well as prompting a "call to action" from potential customers. Other examples of short term strategies are Internet websites, informational brochures, press releases, trade shows, and product samplings. All these can be used to create a cause and effect reaction from consumers. These are crucial in launching a new business as well as growing an existing one. As long as your are reaching your target market, these activities will provide an immediate return on investment. If they don't, then your overall advertising message needs to reevaluated. Long term strategies are much more subliminal in nature. They encompass all the activities that reach people in a subtle way. Networking is probably the best long term strategy you can engage in. Many people have misconceptions about networking. It is not about going to events to drum up customers...

Telecomm Products Marketing Plan

...Mission Our mission is to be the provider of high value, high quality, convergent OSS solutions to telecom operators worldwide. These scalable solutions will have unparalleled support to ensure flexibility and to meet and exceed customer expectations. Target Markets OSS Telecom Technology has projected two primary products in its forecast: 1. Post-paid CCB systems The total available market for CCB systems worldwide is projected to be $6.9 billion per year in 2004. The measurement of total available market is the compilation of the number of telecom operators that will replace their billing system and the number of new billing systems coming online each year. Fifty percent of all billing systems are replaced on average every four years. With over 3,500 Tier 2 and Tier 3 telephone operators currently in operation, and a projected 1,500 new Tier 2 and Tier 3 operators coming online over five years, this means that over 4,300 billing systems will be needed in the next five years. The post-paid CCB systems will be sold to the number of Tier 2 and Tier 3 operators listed above, specifically, new operators and those that are choosing to replace their current system. Prepaid IN systems have a much broader market opportunity given the small penetration of Prepaid IN in Tier 2 and 3 providers. Operators in developing countries project that over 50% of all calls will eventually be prepaid, while developed countries may reach 35%. This growth, coupled with the fact Prepaid IN is an...

The company would offer photo/video services, paralegal services for attorneys, notarizing signing agents, consumer bankruptcy petition preparation, and a joint venture with bankruptcy attorney Sean Fleming to provide a complete debt elimination credit-rebuilding program. That is why I am calling the company "The Torres Networking Group" or TNG, LLC because it will be more of a consulting company with these services. This is a real world example; it is a company that I am launching, and by the beginning of 2013 when I receive my small business, funding the company should have a fully functional interactive website and a retail location in Elgin, Illinois (Welcome to the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, 2011). ...CASE STUDY: MCDONALD’S Executive summary This case study looks to evaluate marketing within McDonald’s and will look into how it has affected McDonald’s in terms of its position within the market. Through research, a positive correlation has been revealed between how successful a company operates and how committed they are in terms of customer focus and its marketing strategy (Kloter and Armstrong, 2010). This study will demonstrate how McDonald’s marketing strategy has helped render the company a global success. This is shown through the SWOT analysis. This study has found that the pivotal ingredient in this company is the unique and effective marketing strategy.
