L’unité de besoin choisie est le riz jaune qui est un produit unique qui répond à un besoin
Le riz jaune constitue une unité de besoin dans la mesure où il s’agit d’un produit unique qui répond à un besoin des consommateurs
Les attentes des clients par rapport à cette unité de besoin sont de se un besoin de nutrition et d’alimentation. Ce besoin peut être délibéré, dans le cas ou une personne de son propre chef choisit de se nourrir avec du riz pour varier son alimentation .Il peut tout aussi y être contraint par un régime par exemple qui lui déconseillerai le pain et doit alors le substituer par le riz. On peut également citer le fait que le riz contrairement au blé n’est pas génétiquement modifié et donc peut intéresser les consommateurs veillant à éviter de se nourrir avec de tel organismes nocifs pour la santé des individus.
Les réponses disponibles par rapport à cette unité de besoin à la fois sur le marché moderne et traditionnel on été relevé dans plusieurs endroits à savoir Marjane Californie, Bim Florida Une épicerie dans le quartier Florida et une kissaria à beau séjour

Etape 2 :
Les circuits de distribution pour ses réponses sont des marchés modernes matérialisés par des enseignes de la grande distribution une locale à savoir Marjane et une franchise à savoir Bim. Marjane est une enseigne inscrite dans les mémoires collectives et ou s’approvisionnent un grand nombre de citadins. Ces citadins qui consomment entre autres cette unité de besoin qui est le riz. Son emplacement en périphérie est expliqué par la grande surface du magasin et du grand parking mis à disposition des clients. Ces derniers viennent des quartiers à proximité de l’enseigne ou de quartiers situés plus loin. Ils s’approvisionnent en grande quantité dans le cas de courses mensuelles ou hebdomadaires ou en petite quantité lorsque la proximité le permet. De ce fait il est tout à fait cohérent de trouver cette unité de besoin à Marjane. En ce qui concerne Bim il s’agit d’une petite surface en libre service installée dans les quartiers de la ville. Grace à sa proximité elle attire des clients habitant les alentours pour des courses en plus ou moins grandes quantité. Il est aussi pertinent de trouver du riz dans cette enseigne.
Pour le marché traditionnel on a une épicerie de quartier et une kissaria implantée en plein centre ville. L’épicerie de quartier permet des achats de diverses nature et répond a cette unité de besoin qui est le riz en grande quantité seulement (5kg). La cohérence n’est pas claire car ces achats en quantité importante s’effectuent dans d’autres espaces. Pour la kissaria il s’agit d’un endroit qui fournit aux habitants du quartier une réponse à différent besoins parmi ces besoins le riz en vrac est proposé. Pour la réponse 1 on l’a correspondu à la CSP C étant donné le format ou elle est proposée a savoir en vrac et le prix relativement bas de cette réponse et son circuit de distribution Marjane.
Pour la réponse 2 on l’a correspondu à la CSP A étant donné la sophistication de la réponse (parfumé au jasmin) et son prix relativement élevé et son circuit de distribution Marjane.
Pour la réponse 3 on l’a correspondu à la CSP B étant donné que l’offre n’a pas de marque mais que son prix reste relativement élevé et son circuit de distribution Marjane.

Etape 3
En ce qui concerne l’offre du premier circuit de distribution Marjane, c’est l’offre la plus diversifié qui présente le plus de choix différentes marques déclinés sous différents formats (en vrac, 1Kg , 5kg) et comprenant une offre premier prix. On peut dire que Marjane constitue un bastion car elle est un à la fois un référent prix et un référent choix .Comme recommandation on peut dire qu’elle pourrait améliorer son offre en proposant différents format pour une même marque par exemple pour le produit économique seul le format 1kg est proposé, l’enseigne peut le proposer sous le format 5kg.
Pour l’offre du second circuit de distribution Bim, c’est une offre extrêmement limitée pas de choix proposé un seul format et une seule marque (Esfan, 1kg, 13.95dhs). Ni référent prix ni référent choix Bim a grand intérêt a palier à ce défaut. On recommande que l’enseigne diversifie son offre en proposant d’autres marques et d’autres formats.
Pour l’offre du troisième circuit de distribution qui est l’épicerie de quartier l’offre est assez limité un seul choix en terme de marque, de prix et de format (Caprice, 5kg, 50dhs). Cette offre n’est pas très adapté et ce circuit peut l’améliorer en proposant d’autres format par exemple 1 kg.
Pour l’offre du quatrième circuit de distribution qui est la kissaria l’offre bien que limitée est adaptée au contexte. Une qualité de riz en vrac est proposée pour un prix le plus bas du marché. Elle pourrait néanmoins améliorer son offre en proposant une qualité supérieure pour un prix un peu plus élevé.

Etape 4 Ce travail comporte le choix d’une unité de besoin qui est le riz jaune répond à un besoin d’alimentation et de nutrition pour consommateurs pour diverses motivations. Il nous nous sommes déplacé pour relever le maximum de réponses à cette unité de besoin dans les circuits de distribution traditionnels et modernes. Ensuite nous avons du classer ces réponses sous forme de chainage de prix et de faire correspondre a chaque réponse la catégorie socioprofessionnelle à laquelle elle s’adresse. Après avoir justifié cette correspondance nous avons établi une critique des offres et émis des recommandations par rapport à ces différentes offres selon leur cohérence avec leur circuit de distribution.
Pour la consommation moyenne elle s’élève approximativement à 1.5kg /hab. /an ce qui représente un volume global d’à peu près 45000 Tonnes par an. La part de chacune des réponses serait pour les 11 réponses :
Réponse 1 et 11 qui est le riz jaune en vrac 50% du volume global soit a peu près 22500 Tonnes par an.
Réponse 2 qui le riz jaune parfumé 1% du volume global soit à peu près 450 Tonnes par an.
Réponse 3 et 4 qui est le riz jaune long 15% du volume global soit à peu près 6750 Tonnes par an.
Réponse 5 qui est le produit économique 10% du volume global soit à peu près 4500 Tonnes par an.
Pour le reste des réponses elles représentent 24% du volume global soit à peu près 10800 Tonnes par an. * La part des circuits modernes dans ce volume global serait de 30% et 70% pour les circuits traditionnels étant donné la nature du produit qui est du riz et qu’il n’est pas aussi consommé en milieu rural.
