Organizational Change

...| | Introduction In today’s competitive marketplace, customer satisfaction is tied directly to long- term profitability. Customers whose needs and requirements are not met will take their business elsewhere. If a customer is happy they tend to be loyal, and if loyalty is measured they not only buy more, they will recommend it to others. The best way to find out if your customer is satisfied is to ask them. With there being many measurement tools available, what’s the best way to track and measure customer satisfaction and how does this data interpret a realistic action plan? Identification of Best Practices Companies face challenges when they seek to identify, measure, and track customer satisfaction. Tools such as surveys, scorecards and questionnaires are increasingly popular since they help measure critical information available to a broad range of industries. A standard customer satisfaction survey asks participants to convey their opinions characterized by quality, price and service. To be useful, the information needs to be tangible so companies can implement improvements. The difficulty in creating a survey is typical low response rates, questions must be well written, and questions need to target the issues. On the other hand they are quick, relatively inexpensive, and there is a large sample size. Customer satisfaction scorecards measure where a company stands in the eyes of its customers, thereby enabling service and product improvements which will lead...

...Authoritative Research 01/17/2015 Professor Noah Horwitz Group A Genetically Modified Organisms In my section of the report I will be handling the vital Political and legal impacts of the genetically modified organisms. My research is geared towards the political view of the genetically modified Organisms against the legality of the whole program. Genetically modified crops (GMCs, GM crops, or biotech crops) are plants used in agriculture, the DNA of which has been modified using genetic engineering techniques. In most cases the aim is to introduce a new trait to the plant which does not occur naturally in the species. Examples in food crops include resistance to certain pests, diseases, or environmental conditions, reduction of spoilage, or resistance to chemical treatments (e.g. resistance to a herbicide), or improving the nutrient profile of the crop. Examples in nonfood crops include production of pharmaceutical agents, biofuels, and other industrially useful goods, as well as for bioremediation. Farmers have widely adopted GM technology. Between 1996 and 2013, the total surface area of land cultivated with GM crops increased by a factor of 100, from 17,000 square kilometers (4,200,000 acres) to 1,750,000 km2 (432 million acres).10% of the world's croplands were planted with GM crops in 2010.There is general scientific and legal agreement that food on the market derived from GM crops poses no greater risk to human health than conventional food. Why I Chose Devry

...Going to School Online By: Corina Jess I have been going to Devry Online for almost a year now. Choosing to go with Devry is one of the smartest decisions I have made. I chose Devry for several reasons, there attendance policy, the freedom it gives me, the price to go, and the being able to go at my own pace. Devry’s attendance policy is great. It is very easy to follow and fits into my crazy schedule. The attendance policy is simply show up in class at a minimum of three times a week, with the first time being before midnight mountain standard time on Wednesday. All assignments are due every week by Sunday at midnight MST, unless the professor give you a different date. Students are allowed to turn in late work if the professor accepts it, but the assignment will get a percentage penalty for it being late. What I also like about Devry Online is the freedom with the class schedule. There is no set time that a student must be logged into class. If I wanted to go to school at 2:00A.M, I could. The classes fit around my schedule. I have a very crazy life with work, school, kids, and my husband, so having the freedom to go to class whenever I wish is one less thing I have to worry about. The price to go to Devry Online is much cheaper than if I chose to go to a campus school. With Devry Online, I do not have to pay for a dorm room, extra books, meals, and gas to get back and forth to school. I enjoy not having to worry about how I am going to pay for my books or...

Devry Materials Planning

...Chapter 12 Question 11: briefly describe MRP II and closed-loop MRP. MRP II did not replace or improve MRP. Rather, it expanded the scope of materials planning to include capacity requirements planning, and to involve other functional areas of the organization such as marketing and finance in the planning process. Production, marketing, and finance personnel work toward developing a master production schedule. Although manufacturing people will have a major input in determining that schedule and a major responsibility for making it work, marketing and finance will also have important inputs and responsibilities. The rationale for having these functional areas work together is the increased likelihood of developing a plan that works and with which everyone can live. Moreover, because each of these functional areas has been involved in formulating the plan, they will have reasonably good knowledge of the plan and more reason to work toward achieving it Closed loop MRP: When MRP was introduced, it did not have the capability to assess the feasibility of a proposed plan (i.e., if sufficient capacity existed at every level to achieve the plan). Thus, there was no way of knowing before executing a proposed plan if it could be achieved, or after executing the plan if it had been achieved. Consequently, a new plan had to be developed each week. When MRP II systems began to include feedback loops, they were referred to as closed-loop MRP. Closed-loop MRP systems evaluate a proposed...
