...The Coca-Cola Company (here on TCCC) has been a leader in innovation in practice and in products. From the original Coca-Cola creation, to the world’s first diet drink marketed at TAB, to the immensely popular Vitamin Water of today, TCCC has worked tirelessly to keep their products ahead of the rest of the soft drink market. Innovative marketing practices also help TCCC keep their control over market share. TCCC sponsors events, such as NASCAR, the Olympic Games, NBA, PGA, and NCAA, the list could continue and on with their mass marketing genius to continue their stranglehold of the soft drink market. As management strategies TCCC has also been an innovative company. Their thought for management is “Think Global, Act Local.” This mantra has had TCCC as a global competitor but has allowed the company to augment local economy with many jobs in towns across the world. Also TCCC has adopted creative marketing strategies to appease a local buyer. During the annual Folkloric Parintins Festival that is in the Rain Forest there is a singing and dancing presentation by two teams, one red and one blue. The red team and all their vendors bought plenty of Coca-Cola; however, the vendors on the blue side went with Pepsi because it has the same blue color. A Brazilian TCCC planner had the idea to make blue cans only in that region for this purpose and because of that decision Coca-Cola has been the soft drink for both sides just in different colors. That is a prime example of global thoughts...

...Gene Sicoli 1/17/15 US economy misses its mark at end of 2014 Overall, 2014 was a good year for the US economy but it did not meet its expectations. The gross domestic product (GDP) rose 2.4%, which is the highest mark the economy has had in 4 years. Even though that increase was a significant burst, experts would have liked to see closer to 3% for the overall GDP of the year. In the final 3 months of the year, the economy grew 2.6% but 3.3% was the expected amount. This shows the variety of ups and downs our economy has. It is blatantly a positive sing that our economy is increasing; it just isn’t increasing as much as it could. This past year showed the highest numbers in job growth since 1999, the Federal Reserve finally ending their stimulus program shows an advance and improvement, and consumer confidence levels were the strongest since 2008/2009 when the recession started. Another positive and negative combination we saw this past year in the United State’s economy was that the economy increased a tremendous amount by % in the third quarter, but then again failed to reach the growth of an overall 3% by the end of 2014. Experts do expect high numbers and improvement for 2015 but many say realistically nothing will change. A main factor regarding this is due to the lowering gas prices, which is good for the people, many oil workers are laid off and these losses are frequently infiltrated into fast growing economies in specific states in the US. As...
